After what happened last night, Charles became numb, no tears left to cry and no urge to do anything. He was just silent all the time, and now, he was going back to his mansion for him to rest his body and mind.
He just told Valeria a while ago that he wanted to have some peace for a while so she let him, however he will be watched by her men every single time, they will just be hidden in plain sight and guard his every move.
He just let it happen since he doesn’t have any plan on escaping, because he knew Valeria's crazy mind. He was still gazing at his window, trees and the view of the horizon from above was seen by his own eyes but he’s still incapable of reacting to anything.
Charles was still horrified of what happened, he remembered what he have just done last night. He didn’t have a choice that time but to just let her go from this suffering, seeing her being hurt like that was enough for him to go mindless.
After Georgina left that night, he reminisced what happened then...
That Night...
Valeria looked at him kneeling at the dirty floor, begging for her to just let Georgina be safe and give her life back, Charles only thought of it for the whole time and he really waited for a whole minute for Valeria to response.
“Fine, but I also have a condition.” Charles looked at her with his drowsy face.
“If you'll escape or planning to leave me...you’ll regret something that is horrible for me to do, seryoso ako dito Charles.” She knelt down too, and let her face be even to him before cupping his face.
“I’m crazy in love with you Charles, and I will not waste this opportunity where I have you now.” Charles was a little terrified of her but he can still feel the anger towards her.
She was the reason why half of his life became a nightmare. Valeria stood up and held her hand on him. “I hope you’ll forget that woman, love me more than you love her, and I will do everything too, te amo.” She said and kissed his forehead.
Charles didn’t have anything now on his mind, his body became hopeless, and he just felt weak. He didn’t grab Valeria’s hand so instead he stood up by himself to walk past her.
Tears fell again from his tired eyes and he thinks the pain he’s feeling right now was too much, too much for him to just be lifeless at this moment.
.....
“Buenos dias senorito.” His maids greeted him but he had no urge to greet them back and just walked directly. He had no strength, and when he looks at something on his perspective, it was blurry.
His clothes we’re crumpled and filled with dirt, his lifeless face was also filthy and he had this wound at his lips where he assumed that he got it from the punch on one of Valeria’s men, so he took off all of it and just walked towards his bathroom to let his bathtub filled with water before he let his body drop on it slowly.
He looked at the old white ceiling above him, Georgina came again on his thoughts kaya hindi na niya napigilang mapaluha na lamang, he buried his face at his palm at bigla na lamang na sumigaw dahil sa sobrang nararamdaman niya.
