Uneasy

The tugging on the blanket became stronger and stirred Loki awake. He came face to face with his daughter that had somehow grown up to be the size of an toddler over night. He shook you awake and you grumbled and snuggled more into his chest. "Uhm... Darling... I think we might have a problem here....", Loki whispered into your ear. You looked up and followed his gaze. Your eyes widened when you saw your daughter standing in front of you, her clothes were too small and a her hair was long and fuzzy. " Edda? ", you gasped and sprung up. The little girl grinned. "Mama... Dada...". You looked at Loki confused but his reaction let you know that he did not knew what happened either. "Hey sweetie... How did you grow up so fast?", Loki asked his daughter while getting on his knees.

"Big Grey man!", Edda exclaimed and hugged Loki. "Big Grey man? Edda you need to tell us what he looked like. Grey man isn't really specifying anyone we know.", Loki poked her nose. Edda was trying hard to explain it but couldn't find the words. "Maybe you can draw it?", you asked her and created a sketchbook and a full rainbow pallet of pencils for her. Edda watched amazed and started to scribble down a man with grey hair, mustache and brown suit. Both you and Loki exactly knew who it was and got up immediately. " We have to leave this house Y/N...", Loki said and snapped his fingers, dressing all three of you up. You wore a green shirt with black jeans and black sneakers while Edda wore a cute little white dress with sunflowers and her hair was curled. "I know Loki but we have nowhere to go. But if he comes back to tell us that we are needed... We don't know what will happen to Edda again... We can't let that happen.", you said and snapped your finger as well. Suitcases came flying down the stairs fully packed.

" I knew we shouldn't have trusted him! ", Loki said. " It was too good to be true that I get to live this life. ", he added. He hurried over to you and Edda and grabbed the suitcases. You all ran towards your car. You put Edda in her seat and helped Loki fitting the suitcases into the trunk. You got inside of the car and once Loki was inside as well you drove off not looking back at your house. "I think we might have a safe place...", you said and made a portal in front of the car so it would drive through.

Your car was slowly driving through the small streets of New Asgard. "Where will we stay?", Loki asked and eyed his surroundings and a few Asgardians that were fishing. "Well... I hope that Val did not make huge changes to my and Thors house.", you said and pulled up the driveway. The house seemed to be untouched from the outside. The canisters of beer were gone and the garden was freshly made. You all walked up to the door and before you turned the key in it's lock you turned to Loki who held Edda in his arms. "Moment of truth.", you said and turned the key to unlock the door.

The furniture inside was moved probably because of Thor and the walls were new painted. You locked the door behind you and slowly walked up to the living room. Thor sat there playing Fortnite like he used to do when his depression hit him. "Uhm... Knock knock?", you said and rattled with your keys. Thor turned his head and smiled. He quit the match and walked up to you and the rest of your family. He was startled when he saw how big Edda had become. "Y/N... What in Odins beard happened?".
"Well you do know how I told you that Loki isn't from our timeline? This TVA guy came up to us again and said that he will need our help in the future. We thought, well okay seems fair enough but this was the first time Edda went to sleep without crying. And... And in the morning she had grown a bit too much and told us that this TVA guy showed up on her room. We suspect that he is harmful for her and that he wants to kidnap her. ". Thor was shocked and sat down offering you to sit down as well." Well that sounds like shit.... Oh uhm... I think I wasn't supposed to say that in front of her... Right? ", Thor looked at Edda who fell asleep on Lokis lap." I think she's sleeping so it's okay.", Loki whispered. "Well if that's the case... I'm offering you the whole house except my room to live in. If you need to go into hiding, I'm glad to help you.", Thor said. "Thank you brother....", Loki thanked him and slowly stood up holding Edda in place. "Come on Loki... I will show you my old room and you can put Edda down there.", you chuckled at the sight in front of you.

Loki slowly strode upstairs as he followed you making sure Edda does not wake up. As you opened your old door you were met with a lot of cold, dark and sad memories.
