Is it a curse or not?

You immediately run off to search for your mother. You went into the king and queens bedroom and were met with an asleep Odin and Frigga sitting next to him.

"y/n! You are here my child!", Frigga pulled you into a hug, "what happened and where is Loki?", she asked.

"I don't know where Loki is but I can tell that he's greatly upset right now. Mother! How couldn't even you tell him that he is a frost giant?!"

"It was only for his safety, he is our son most importantly he is my son just like you are my daughter y/n."

You sighed and held her hand while bursting out in tears "I don't know what's wrong with me mother... When I touched the casket nothing happened but when he touched it and turned into a frost giant, I turned too. What's wrong with me?", you asked and were scared of the answer.

Frigga only looked confused at you and asked" When he turned, you turned too? ".

You simply nodded and clutched her hand.

" I only know one thing which it could be mother... A curse, I've read about it in a book in the library. But who in the nine realms would put a curse on me?! ", you told her with watery eyes.

" When was the first time you turned into the frost giant firm?", your mother asked and you looked confused at her," in Jotunheim, when he got touched by one of those giants. ".

" y/n, I can tell you you are not cursed or at least it's not bad.", she looked at you and smiled.

" You two were raised as siblings but you are clearly not blood related and I thought that this would happen or at least I knew it from day one. ", she said in a happy tone.

You looked even more confused at her but you weren't as scared of the answer you were to get.

"What do you mean? What are we if we are not cursed?", you asked and looked at her begging her to tell you.

"He can't hurt you so that's why you turn into a frost giant with him. Y/n you two are soul mates... You are bound to be together and I saw it when he first met you. You were in my arms and cried and when Loki touched you you immediately stopped and looked mesmerized by him. When you were young you never left each other's sides or at least not for long and you still do it to this day. You two could be twins because you behave and act the same way, you both love the same things. You can do magic y/n and there are not many people in Asgard who have even the ability to do it. You have the same powers as Loki but mixed with a few other magic abilities of your own. You can't hurt him bad and he can't hurt you. ", Frigga explained to you.

You were shocked and slumped back into a chair. You felt like you were going to black out and fall onto the ground.

Frigga still held your hand and looked at you worried.

After several minutes you catched yourself again and excused yourself and left the room.

You knew where to go next, your secret hiding spot in the garden.

Standing in front of the bushes your hiding spot was in you took a deep breath and walked in. You were met with the sound of sobs.

Your heart broke as you saw Loki sitting at the little pond which you both made a few years ago.

You casted a few floating lights to light the small room and slowly walked up to Loki.

Loki looked up as the room slightly lit up and saw you.

"Go away y/n! I will only hurt you, I'm a monster!", Loki said sobbing even more.

You kneeled down next to him and touched his cheek.

He shifted away but it had no use, you followed him. He turned into his Jotun form to scare you away but he noticed that you turned too.

" If you are a monster Loki, I am one too...", you said and lifted his head up so he would have to look at you.

" What kind of magic is this? ", he asked you and wiped his tears away.

"I asked our mother about it, she knew about it since I was born Loki. You.... I...", you couldn't complete the sentence because Loki silenced you.

"Did she tell you about how I first saw you and you were crying?", he asked.

"In fact she did. Do you want to know what she said to me?", you said while sitting down next to him instead of kneeling.

He nodded and you began to explain.

"She told me that you can't hurt me neither can I hurt you. Since the day I've been born, we couldn't be separated and we never left each other's side for long. She noticed it when I was crying in her arms and you comforted me instantly by being at my side. She told me that you could be my twin because we are so much alike, we both love the same things, we behave and act the same and even our magic is similar but we aren't, we aren't even related and just raised like siblings. ", you said and Loki rolled his eyes signaling you to come to the point.

" What I'm trying to say is.... Loki we are bound... We are. ", you stopped talking and looked at Loki who was about to say something.

" We are soulmates . ", he blurted out and looked at you. You nodded your head and looked at the pond next to you so he wouldn't see your tears.

You could feel his stare on the side of your head and it felt like he was staring right at your brain, so intense felt his stare.

Suddenly he grabbed your hand and pulled you close to him. You could smell him, his armor smelled like leather but his hair smelled like fine asgardian soap which smelled like (favorite scent).

You never really noticed how he smelled until now.

He lifted your head up and you both looked into each other's eyes. His blue greenish ones met your blue greenish ones and it looked like you were doing or preparing for a staring contest.

He put his forehead on yours and closed his eyes and you did the same, relaxing at his touch and his cold skin against yours.

You sat like this for several minutes until you both decided to get up and go to Odin's chamber to pay him and your mother a visit.
