"I do think that leaving immediately after my birthday is quite too soon, perhaps a week or two later would be better. Then I'll arrive three or four weeks earlier than expected and I have enough time to prepare myself.", you said and looked up at Odin, who now got up and walked towards you.
" If that's your choice my dear, then be it. Now what would you say about dinner my dear? "
Odin escorted you to your room so you could change but instead of going in your room he waited in front of your door.
You decided to wear one of thousands of new dresses out of your wardrobe.
Your dress was green and while walking your leg was shown to everyone in the room, not exactly what a princess should wear but you guessed that it was alright, since it was only Loki you'd be dining with. Walking out of the room, Loki, still disguised as Odin looked at you in awe.
"You look lovely Y/n, I almost want you to wear this dress all day.", Loki snickered and you both walked towards the dining room.
No words were spoken during dinner, not because the warrior three were in the room. No, there was simply nothing to talk about and even after dinner no one spoke.
This actually lasted for at least a few weeks.
Only three weeks remaining until you would go and travel to Midgard, you thought while some of your maids were sticking needles in your new dress.
Loki ordered the maids to make you a new dress for your birthday and that was the only interaction you had with him in the last few weeks. You didn't know if he was mad at you, or bored and just tired of you.
After the maids were finished measuring everything, you decided to pay your father on Midgard a visit and check if he's doing well.
On the way to the bifrost you picked a basket of muffins up from the kitchen.
Before you arrived at the bifrost you changed into a midgardian outfit. It was a small black dress and it's skirt was grey.
As you arrived at the bifrost Heimdall eyed you suspiciously.
"Who are you meeting Y/n?", he asked and jammed his sword into its place to open the bifrost.
"Just visiting the Avengers, I should be back in a few hours.", you said and smiled at him.
Heimdall just nodded and opened the bifrost.
You got sucked in and saw all the familiar colors of the bifrost but just after a few seconds you landed in the backyard of the Avengers facility.
You looked around and saw Wanda and Vision sitting in a room, clearly visible to the world thanks to the windows.
As you walked up to the door it was immediately opened by Vision, who was pleased to see you again.
"Where are the others?", you asked as Wanda came up to hug you.
She and Vision explained everything to you about what happened after you were gone and that Tony and Steve aren't on good terms since the Avengers needed to agree to work under the government or they would have to retire.
After spending a few hours at the Avengers facility you made your leave and headed to the shady acres home to visit your father.
You still had half of the basket left so you decided to take it with you again and surprise your father and all other seniors.
After entering you immediately headed to your father's room and knocked, only to find his room empty. You walked through the building until you walked into the living room where your father was playing cards with another man.
"Father! How nice to see you again!", you cheered and walked up to him. Odin smiled over both ears as he saw you and got up from his chair and hurried over to you.
He gave you a big hug and looked you up and down.
"You look gorgeous my dear Y/n. How's work and your brother doing?", he asked and looked like a dog, who's happy to see his owner again.
"All good, how about we drink some tea and eat some muffins I brought? There are enough left for everyone here.", you smiled and held up your basket.
"Oh dear! You didn't have to bring something with you. But since you're here already and I know that you are stubborn I will take your offer.", he smiled and turned around to the man he was playing cards with.
" Frederick, if you would excuse me. I have a lot to discuss with my daughter, since I won't be seeing her for a little while because of her work. You have won the game, but we'll play later again if you agree.", Odin said politely.
The man named Frederick nodded, snatched himself a muffin out of the basket and disappeared in the room next door.
"Now shall we talk, my child? ", Odin asked while pouring tea in two cups.
