(Y/n) stared at Jushiro over the open books on the table before standing up and nodding. The order came after they input their findings to seal off the jokai around the Seretei. "Take the closest to here, Captain," she stated. "Or better yet, stay in the library. You're still sick aren't you?"
"This is an urgent matter, I can at least supervise," he countered.
"Your health is urgent too," Shunsui chuckled. "Let (Y/n) lead a few of your men. We need to go find the jokai before Kariya sets them off."
"Will that be all right," Jushiro questioned slowly.
"It'll be fine," (Y/n) nodded. "Go rest, Captain Ukitake." He sighed and smiled softly before nodding, sitting back in the chair. She followed Shunsui from the library, letting out a small sigh as he hummed.
"You're getting antsy, little (Y/n)," he joked.
"Because I'm nervous," you glared at him a bit, your shoulders falling. "Why did you do it?"
"Do what," he hummed.
"Say you'd monitor me? You know that doesn't look good on you, right," she snorted.
"A lot of thing look good on me," he teased. "You're one of them."
"Right," she sighed.
"This will be addressed after all this, you know. He was very upset," he joked. (Y/n) glared at him, his face relaxed as if he had everything planned out.
"Addressed or not, this is more important," (Y/n) grumbled. Shunsui sighed and patted her back with a small smile before his face went serious.
"Be quick about organizing them, would you? Your speed can cover that ground, right," he asked.
She smirked a bit and nudged at him with her elbow as they made eye contact, "Did I let you down before I left?"

Yoruichi and Captain Yamamoto stood at (Y/n)'s desk as she dragged myself into her office. It was difficult to fight the other her as she helped with the seals, the fighting going on above her riling her up even as she had to focus. At the sight of them, her shoulders practically dislocated from the weight in her arms. "What can I help you two with," (Y/n) bowed, a hand touching her back and prodding her to stand.
"If I am to believe anything that I've been told it would have to be in conjunction with what I see," Yamamoto started.
"And what is it you've seen, Captain," (Y/n) moved to her desk, using it as a barrier between her and the other two. It wasn't anything between Yoruichi and herself but her grandfather. It was a dangerously calm look on his face that made her uneasy.
"You have a mask. Yoruichi and Ukitake have seen this before and are willing to help me understand what is going on," he stated. Yoruichi stood a bit behind him with a soft, knowing smile on her face as (Y/n) fell back in her chair.
"To help you," the question was airy, barely a sound on her breath.
"Is he serious? After threatening us," (Y/n) didn't bother to reply as her grandfather nodded.
"This isn't for the soul society then," she asked slowly.
"You are my granddaughter. I've ignored that fact for long enough," he replied. (Y/n) stared at Yoruichi and the other woman gave a small shrug before taking a seat on the couch. "You have an ability and a responsibility to understand it. I should have realized you'd have changed when you disappeared."
"No," (Y/n)'s glare shot to him quickly. "You don't get to suddenly do that after threatening me." The room was silent, a sort of ringing filling her ears. "As far as I know, I've never been your grandkid. So if your inquiry is a form of research you want to take on, by all means give me that order but it isn't for just your knowledge."
He sighed, reaching into his sleeve and producing paperwork, "I figured you may have chosen that path." The papers were gently set on the desk and (Y/n) took them when his hands were back on his zanpakuto. "Official orders. You are to report everything to Shunsui who is to act as your supervisor."
"Yes sir," (Y/n) started pulling the papers out, Captain Yamamoto hesitating before leaving her office. It was a few moments before Yoruichi cleared her throat and (Y/n) looked up at her.
"I didn't realize you were on bad terms," she sniffed.
"It wasn't anyone's business," (Y/n) set the papers down and leaned back in her chair. "Why are you still here? Shouldn't you be going home?"
"We called a few friends of ours. We figured they could help you," Yoruichi lay on the couch, staring at the ceiling with a blank expression. "You and Ichigo could benefit from them."
(Y/n) shot to her feet, leaving the papers on the desk to scatter, "Kurosaki?"
"You didn't know," she asked.
"The masks-"
"Visors," Yoruichi corrected.
"It isn't something you just ask someone," (Y/n) snapped. Yoruichi slowly sat up, staring in interest. "It's horrifying, Yoruichi. Did you expect me to just ask him if he went through hallowfication?"
"You were told," she nodded.
"I didn't believe it," (Y/n) quickly got the papers together and pushed them back into their file. "I need to make contact as soon as-"
"Slow down," Yoruichi chuckled. The dark skinned woman wouldn't understand it, the feeling flooding in (Y/n)'s chest. If she wasn't the only one with some form of control, did that mean she could dig farther? Could she breath, knowing she was safe among similar people? "Slow down," Yoruichi sat on the desk, pushing the hilt of (Y/n)'s blades down to keep them sheathed.
"When are they going to be there," (Y/n) shifted away from Yoruichi, grabbing the paperwork.
"Soon. It shouldn't be a problem if you come sooner than later," Yoruichi nodded.

"This place is a dump," (Y/n) rubbed her head and sighed. The apartment was still a mess from when she was there for the bounts, her gigai draped across the bed as she pulled in through the window.
"Shut up," (Y/n) muttered. She stopped, the air in the apartment different as she set herself in the gigai slowly. "Come out," she snapped. There came a soft huff and a thin, black haired girl stepped from behind the doorway into the kitchen.
"Urahara said you'd be more comfortable around me for some reason," she sniffed. (Y/n) stared and smirked, sitting on the bed as the woman blinked. "(Y/n)?"
"The one and only, Lisa," she smiled. The woman's hair was a braided stream as she huffed (Y/n) tightly. It was a bit confusing as (Y/n) hugged back. Lisa and a few others had disappeared one night, the act having made (Y/n) nervous. "So, you have a visor?" Lisa stiffened quickly, clearing her throat as she stood.
"How do you know about the visors," she asked. (Y/n) didn't know what to say. She couldn't just reveal how she knew about visors, even if it was an old friend. Lisa herself didn't know about (Y/n) if she was shocked to see her and their situations had been different.
(Y/n) stared for a moment, "You were all to be executed but nothing more was said about it and it was strange that no one saw the execution happen. That's all."
"Yes, I have a visor," Lisa nodded. Her gaze became cold as she reached for the zanpakuto on her hip. "Are you going to complete the order?"
(Y/n) stared back, a small smirk in her face as a form of relief came over her, "Not at all. I came for answers."
