(Y/n) stared at the soul reapers who had vanished a month before she had, her chest slowly warming. She really wasn't alone but they all eyed her uneasily, their guards up. "Hey, hey, hey," one snapped. "We were training visored, not getting investigated."
"You are training visored, Hirako," (Y/n) sighed softly. "I'm just taking in how many there are."
"What," Lisa gasped softly.
"A month after you guys escaped, I lost consciousness," (Y/n) rubbed her head, pushing herself from her gigai and setting it carefully against a wall in the musty warehouse the escapees had picked. Hirako seemed to be second in charge, his big grin as off setting as ever. He stood close to an angry looking Hiyori, the other blonde Elmore open than anyone about her displeasure. Love, Rojuro, and Lisa were near each other, Lisa gentler than the two near her. Kensei, Machiro, and Hachigen were in their own places, the first two obviously closer than they were before their escape. "Where have you been all this time?"
"Here you spoiled brat," Hiyori snarled. "Your granddaddy wanted us killed so we've been hiding out here in the world of the living."
"Hiyori," Lisa warned quietly.
"Just because you guys were friends before doesn't mean you're friends now, Yadomaru," Hiyori roared. "We only came for Ichigo!"
"We came for two people," Hirako corrected. "Urahara didn't say the other person's name, just that we'd know."
"You guys know about the masks," (Y/n) said slowly. "And those, other parts that no one can see or hear." Hiyori flinched as everyone eyed (Y/n), her hand reaching into her jacket to pull out the weasel faced mask. "These kind of set me off but since I'm not the only one, I can ask questions."
"You," Lisa was stiff as she stared at the mask, her eyes wide like everyone else's.
"You are training two people but my hallow self and I have an agreement," (Y/n) stated. "So help me, please."
"How were you not executed," Hiyori snapped. "This is nepotism!"
"He didn't know until a few weeks ago," (Y/n) called out. "And I didn't plan on revealing this intentionally to him."
"They'll find us with her around," Love muttered.
"They didn't find me when I got out of Hueco Mundo and they won't find me now," she roared. They all flinched back, their blades being drawn. "So show me what this visor can do." Lisa was the first to launch forward, her spear slamming into the flat of (Y/n)'s blade. Again, when did she draw it? Was it really the first reaction she had when her heart began to race?
"You're a visored," Lisa muttered. "How did we not find you?"
"I was in Hueco Mundo," (Y/n) shoved her back, dropping the other two blades as the rest quickly armed their shikai. "I'm still trying to remember it all." They were all slow as they pulled masks on, the bone like structures appearing seemingly out of nowhere as if they were called.
"I'm joining," the joy in the other me's voice made me cough as the mask pulled itself on my face. I could see perfectly fine, the thin slits not getting in the way of my visibility.
"Fine," I muttered. "But we both have control." Hiyori was the second to launch an attack, the oni-like structure of her mask making her angry face look more enraged. (Y/n) kicked a blade up, striking the blades together to avoid the hit as she spun parallel to the floor. The dirt rubble she scraped up went over Hiyori's head, shattering against Shinji's visor and making him grunt as his zanpakuto hit more steel.
"Bankai," the voice reverberated in her chest as the blades connected by their thin rope. The rush that filled her chest sent her into the approaching crowd, hitting them with the back of the blades and flinging them farther in front of her.
"Take it easy," (Y/n) muttered as she pulled back to a shikai.
"It's self defense," the voice giggled. It was out loud, coming from her as if to warn the ones that were just attacked of who was there.
"Enough. I'll revoke your control," (Y/n) stopped Lisa from hitting her with the spear, staring at the other woman.
"It talks," Lisa asked.
"That's what confuses me," Lisa began striking out, (Y/n) shifting quickly as she watched the head of the spear stab at her. "What is the visor? What does it do?"
It's the hallow in us. How did you get it," Lisa asked.
"A failed experiment," (Y/n) kicked a blade out slow enough for Lisa to move her head to the side. "Aizen." The mask on Lisa's face extended over her head, the diamond shape making her seem more streamlined.
"Then you're like all of us," she grunted as I held her spear past my head with the blades in my hands. "But how did we not find you?"
"I wasn't in control. The hallow was," (Y/n) shoved the spear aside, catching sight of the others readying their positions. "Lisa, I was in Hueco Mundo while I was unconscious. The hallow had control. I need to know what that means."
"It means something happened for you to come back," Lisa pulled back and aimed the head of her spear at (Y/n) calmly. It was as if she accepted (Y/n), a small smile on her face that the others couldn't see. "It spoke, why?"
"An agreement-"
"We both have control," the voice giggled, (Y/n)'s body falling a bit back with slack. "Unlike you unruly punks! Where's your fire? I see it in your eyes! Give it to me!"
"(Y/n)," Lisa yelled. (Y/n) grit her teeth as Lisa pulled her mask up to make eye contact. "That's not you!" (Y/n) pulled herself straight, feeling the bone forming against her cheek. She hadn't put the mask on yet it was forming.
"That's just it, Lisa," (Y/n)'s hand went up, a sero forming at the tip of her fingers. "It is and that's what I'm trying to understand. I was pushed here on orders but it's for me. Tell me why I can do this."
"You're seriously in control," Hiyori barked. (Y/n) glanced at her, letting the smaller woman hit her hand down as the sero dissipated.
"Yes. It's a joint control. Why am I like this and you guys aren't," (Y/n) put her zanpakuto away, the others in the room slowly following.
"We dominated our hallows," Hirako sighed.
"But we don't actively have conversations with them," Lisa gave a subtle snicker as they slowly stepped forward. "And none of the joint control. You're the anomaly among strange phenomena."
"Aizen got you too huh," Love patted (Y/n)'s back roughly and she coughed a bit from the impact.
"We'll show you what we learned," Lisa nodded. "It's good to see you again."The rain of sand fell, filling the space in a dusty haze as (Y/n) looked upwards. The panther shaped hallow in the air was familiar and it looked angry as it came down for her. "Try again," she laughed.
"You'll pay," it roared. (Y/n) didn't fight the sero that exploded from her hands, her zanpakuto lost from her hands. "Just die already!"
(Y/n) was caught in its jaws as she laughed at the hallow, "Make me!" The bite she took out of it was backed by the jaws of the mask, the black ooze splattering across her already dirty face. It felt like hours in the mere minutes the fight continued like that, the two settling across from each other panting.
"Damn it," the hallow snarled.
"You keep growing," (Y/n) praised.
"You're still a pipsqueak," it snapped.
"I'm supposed to be," (Y/n) snickered. "I'm not like you weak hallow." It stared and settled against the sand more, the eyes not as cold as she remembered them being.
"You don't belong here," it growled. (Y/n)'s body moved closer casually, sitting in front of the hallow's face as if it wasn't dangerous and they hadn't been fighting. "What's your name?"
"The name of the body is (Y/n), Yamamoto (Y/n)." A moment of silence passed, the two staring at each other in the breeze.
"Grimmjow," it replied slowly.Shunsui stared at (Y/n) as she stared down at him, his room quiet even with the doors open. "I thought you'd send in a report," he said groggily.
"No paper trails. They're their own group," (Y/n) pulled the mask off of her face, staring at it before setting it down next to him gently. "And apparently it wasn't my idea."
"What are you doing back? You're in the world of the living for research," Shunsui sat up and rubbed his head, giving a small yawn before smiling. "I'm not complaining, just surprised is all."
(Y/n) mulled what happened over, including the dream as she watched him, "Do you really think I'm not dangerous?"
"You're dangerous all right. Dangerously beautiful," Shunsui joked loudly.
"I'm being serious," (Y/n) muttered. He stopped smiling, glancing at her before looking outside.
"No," he stated. "I think you're stronger than you let on. You're just lost." (Y/n) sat back, looking up at the ceiling as Shunsui got up to start getting ready for the day.
"I'm scared," she confessed. "I don't want to be different but there's so much going around in my head I don't know who I am anymore."
"Then let me be the one to remind you," Shunsui hummed. (Y/n) blinked as he knelt and pulled her close to him, his lips gently pushed against hers.
