Lisa was the first to pour over the magazine when (Y/n) came back, curious enough to put her erotica books down. She couldn't resist picking up the discarded book and blushed the entire time she went through the pages slowly. "That's not for beginners like you," Lisa said casually.
(Y/n) cleared her throat and waved the book at the woman that didn't seem to be paying much attention, "Forgive me for my trespasses- 'mommy'? I'm just curious."
"That just makes you a pervert," Love snorted. (Y/n) went to toss the book at him and stopped, placing it down as the warehouse doors opened and closed. (Y/n) peeked over the ledge, being pulled back as soon as she saw the orange haired high schooler that seemed to draw negative attention.
"He doesn't know you're here, does he," Lisa whispered.
"No, he sees me as just a soul reaper," she whispered back. "He doesn't know I have a visor."
"Do you want him to know," Hachi hummed softly. (Y/n) stared for a moment at the unsuspecting Ichigo before pulling her coat off and her mask on.
"No but I need to measure his worth for myself," she muttered.
"How long can you hold," Love asked quietly.
"A couple of hours give or take. It grows every time I use it," (Y/n) sat at the edge after adjusting herself, shifting her zanpakuto to her back to at least off place any tells she had. He stared at them all and it was different for (Y/n) to watch the events unfold from an outside seat. Lisa sniggered subtly, glancing at her.
"It's different not being the problem child, isn't it," she asked.
"I'm more appalled at the amount of power he's gained so quickly," (Y/n) nodded. "Even before, no one went this fast through the ropes, even if they were a prodigy."
"It's why we've been paying attention to him," Hiyori sniffed. "And he wasn't just a request like you were, Princess." (Y/n) sighed a bit at the nickname that didn't seem to be going away any time soon. Hiyori soon joined Hirako, leaving (Y/n) to watch her with the others.
"Hey, what happened after Aizen for you," Hirako stared at (Y/n) and she tilted her head at him quietly. Even her voice would give her away here, she couldn't risk it just yet. "So I can have a straight story when and if he asks. I'm not looking like an idiot because you refuse to talk."
"I lost control and resided in Hueco Mundo, the hollow running wild," (Y/n) replied quietly. "I guess he wanted to track his experiments somehow after he lost you guys." The group was quiet, and not the easy going sort of quiet, after the statement. "It may explain my adaptability to prolonged usage of the mask."
"It explains more than you realize," Lisa muttered. "By the way, can we get more of these?"
"When I make a trip back sure," (Y/n) swiped the magazine from the soul society from her, throwing it aside.(Y/n) launched a cero to counter Ichigo's as soon as she entered the barrier space. He was wild and uncontrollable in the hollow state. "Don't overexert yourself," Hirako yelled.
"There's no overexertion," (Y/n) called back. "He lacks even the basic skills he showed fighting like this! It's just another rampage!" She flicked her wrist, the reishi around him a deep red as she drew on it with her blades. The hollow fell forward, fighting against the strings as the center blade grew hot in (Y/n)'s hand.
"(Y/n)," Lisa yelled.
"I'll be fine," she yelled. They exchanged confused expressions on the other side of the barrier, (Y/n) grunting at the strain as she pulled the strings tighter.
"What's she doing," (Y/n) could hear Kensei's frustrated voice, stopping herself from stealing a glance.
"It's her zanpakuto," Lisa replied slowly. "It's able to drain reishi from her opponent and store it for an attack or serve as a form of manipulation. She doesn't use it because of the strain it puts on her own spiritual pressure."
"Enough with the lesson," (Y/n) yelled out. "This saves you guys energy in the long run so sit quiet! I need to concentrate." The strings were pulled, dragging her forward a bit. (Y/n) replanted her feet and pulled back, forcing the hidden mouth of her mask to open as Ichigo's hollow prepped another cero. They both released a cero, the explosion breaking the attachment (Y/n) had and cracking her mask.
She grunted softly and stopped the claws coming down on her, hooking the blades and turning to throw him. The minute he hit the floor she was tagged out, shoved through the barrier opening into Lisa's arms.
"Concentration or not, that ability isn't your strong suit," she grunted. Lisa was quiet as (Y/n)'s mask crumbled and fell, "But you did help quite a bit."
"I know," (Y/n) wheezed a bit, her insides feeling torn apart. "That's all I needed."
"You said you wanted to measure him," Kensei sniffed. "What for?"
"The potential," (Y/n) carefully stood on her own, coughing and rubbing her neck from the tender reaction. "How much stronger he's going to get."
"And," Lisa scowled, pulling out a handkerchief and wiping at (Y/n)'s mouth.
"I can't," she replied simply. She sat down against one of the pillars of rock sticking from the floor. "There wasn't anything toxic in his growth. It's like he was naturally supposed to peek quickly."
"Don't tell me you're reporting that to the soul society," Love muttered.
"I'm not. They can figure it out on their own," (Y/n) grunted.
"Since when did you start using that ability," Lisa asked.
"Since today. We threw aside the agreement to not use it for the arrancar," (Y/n) stared at the black haired woman and smiled. "I didn't think you'd remember it after all this time. Good memory."
"Memory or not, it's an unpracticed skill," Kensei cut in. He knelt in front of her and started to wrap her hand after removing (Y/n)'s zanpakuto from her grip. "You have to train it just like everything else."
"It's less harmful in bankai," she sighed. She watched their hands and closed her eyes, nodding, "Thank you for this."
"Shut up, you're one of us," he muttered. (Y/n) blinked a bit and glanced at the rest of them as they focused on the fight inside the barrier intently.
"Am I really," (Y/n) she mumbled.
