(Y/n) pushed her jacket through the bars, tossing it against Rurichiyo's cage so that it'd catch. Their location had changed while she had slept and it was a bit colder here than it was in the room. There was possible pressure on Rurichiyo's captors with everything that was happening. "Put it on or use it as a pillow," she sighed.
"What about you," Rurichiyo asked slowly.
"I've been in worse," (Y/n) smiled softly. "Bedsides, I can sleep anywhere." Rurichiyo nodded and put the jacket over her shoulders, watching the entrance to the small room. "Nothing is going to happen anytime soon and it'll only feel longer if you keep watching."
"How are you so calm," Rurichiyo sniffled.
"I'm actually not," (Y/n) pushed at the bars with her feet, her back digging into the bars. "I hate closed spaces like this. I don't get to move around like I want."
"Then why'd you allow yourself to get captured," the girl hiccuped.
"I told you," (Y/n) sighed. "I'm where I need to be."
"You shouldn't be here," Rurichiyo cried out.
"And how would you know," (Y/n) sniffed. "Ichigo and the others are looking for you, even with pressure from the squads. I'm stuck between clan duties, the knowledge I have about what's been going on, and the duties I have as a soul reaper so my emotions are mixed and it would hinder my judgement."
"So you're here so you don't have to think," Rurichiyo sniffed. (Y/n) laughed a bit and put her head back with her eyes closed.
"I guess so," she nodded. "But it also puts pressure on my friend to find me and in turn you. Then they won't suspect Ichigo and his friends don't you think?"
"Oh," Rurichiyo gasped. "I didn't think about that."
"I know you didn't. I had to when Kibune found me," (Y/n) hummed. "I get to keep you company too and, lady to lady, I need to stop thinking about work."
"Lady? I heard you threaten that man," Rurichiyo covered her mouth, a smirk on her face.
"Well excuse me for being angry," (Y/n) sighed. "If only we had a way to get out, I could bulldoze my way through those assassins."
"Oh," Rurichiyo fumbled around a bit with her clothes before producing a pin and (Y/n) stared at her.
"You're kidding," (Y/n) hissed.
"I forgot I had it," Rurichiyo shrugged and started fumbling with her lock. (Y/n) waved as Rurichiyo opened her lock, the blonde throwing the pin to her. (Y/n) quickly unlocked the cage but held it closed.
"Stay in until I'm out. Pretend it's still locked," (Y/n) instructed quietly. She tried to feel out where they were. "Go," she ordered. She could feel multiple spiritual pressure above them as she stood close to Rurichiyo, a few assassins surrounding them. (Y/n) struck out at one with a fist, knocking him to the side only to feel something stab upwards under her chest. She grunted as she hooked an arm around, putting the assailant in a tight chokehold.
There wasn't much she could do with the blockage of her spiritual pressure and whoever else that was fighting just outside probably couldn't tell who she was. "Stay close to me," (Y/n) shifted closer to Rurichiyo as she snapped the man's neck. The blade in her side fit nicely in her hand, the kunai lighter than what she was used to. (Y/n) blocked the attacks as quickly as they came, the damaging happening only because she wasn't fast enough. Rurichiyo screamed and (Y/n) twisted around to see the girl being lifted off her feet.
"Put her," a blade sliced down the back of (Y/n) neck and upper back, a soft click sounding as she stumbled. It was a deep cut and the strike had left her mind blurry as she hit the ground on her knees. She struggled to catch her breath but her spiritual pressure was building quickly as a few bodies left the room. It felt like forever before she got to her feet and slowly walked outside, leaning on the doorframe. She groaned a bit, seeing Lieutenant Kira standing among passed out assassins facing Kibune who stood atop the building in the arena.
"(Y/n)," he gasped.
"Focus on the actual problem first," she muttered. He gave a nod before focusing on Kibune again, (Y/n) prepping herself. She didn't have her zanpakuto and she'd have to find it in order to help anything.
"Captain Amagai is helping Kurosaki," he informed her.
"Good, that poor sod needs all the help he can get," she sniffed.
"Are you done talking," Kibune snorted. There was a clatter between them and (Y/n) stared at her zanpakuto. She flashed and grabbed it, ripping it from her sheath as she blocked an oversized blade from spinning into her. "I'll take you both on."
"Too bad for you," (Y/n) snapped. "Lieutenant, keep him alive so I can finish him off." She flashed, running after the men that had Rurichiyo. She slashed through one of the men in the back, the others staring at (Y/n) with wide eyes. "You broke the only thing saving you," she grinned.
"Lady Yamamoto," Rurichiyo's face was a bright red and (Y/n) spared a glance down. Flashing had broken whatever string was still holding the shihakusho up and she grit her teeth as her own face turned red.
"Bankai,"(Y/n) hissed. She wrapped the thin rope around her chest quickly before slicing into another assassin, her spiritual pressure making them stop short. She heard Ichigo yell behind her and turned her head, his eyes widening as she slowed to run next to him. "Get her. I have to update Captain Yamamoto."
"All right," he grunted. (Y/n) flashed and stumbled, falling through the doors to her grandfather's office. There was silence as she tried to catch her breath.
"Third Seat Yamamoto," Captain Yamamoto barked. "What is the meaning of this?"
"Kibune has associated with the Kasumioji clan and assisted in the imprisonment of Kasumioji Rurichiyo," she bowed there on the floor, feeling the cold gaze from where he sat at his table.
"You abandon your duties and come forward with-"
"Listen old man," she snapped. She looked up at him, two sets of feet stopping her as she stared at Renji who held Kibune's broken zanpakuto. There was a small, sluglike thing against it and (Y/n)'s shoulders relaxed. He placed it on Captain Yamamoto's table and he had no choice but to listen as Renji explained everything.
"And what of you," he looked to (Y/n) again and she sat back. She was tired, her bankai teetering on going back to shikai form.
"I was captured and held prisoner," she replied, her voice slow. "I can confirm Kibune's involvement and the treason committed."
"Retreat to squad four," he ordered.
