(16) Am X I X Worth?

Gon's POV:
i tried to sleep through my feelings but it didn't work. i couldn't sleep. and i couldn't stop crying.

i fully understand why killua doesn't wanna see again. i don't blame him.

sometimes i ask myself "am i worth all this trouble?" because sometimes it doesn't feel like it. one of those times is now.

i was crying all morning in my bed. too weak to stand up.

i hear someone knock on my bedroom door.

"come in, i don't care anymore..."

it was aunt mito. she looked worried.

"Oh, Gon, are you okay????" she asked in a worried tone.

"n-no." i said in a stuttering voice while crying.

"What happened??"

"k-killua d-doesn't want t-to see m-me anymore..." i start crying even more.

"Noooo, I'm sure he doesn't mean that."

"n-no, h-he did. i d-don't blame h-him f-for i-it..."

"Where are Kurapika and Leorio?"

"hospital. i c-cussed at t-them while running away. i only had k-killua in my mind. i f-felt b-broken."

"Gon... Killua looks like his traumatized from what you did to him, so he's separating himself from you."

"d-did you t-think i d-didn't k-know t-that?"

"I knew." she starts hugging me. i hug back.

at least i have someone supporting me.

"thanks, aunt mito. even though i haven't been the greatest nephew, you're always there."

"Oh, it's no problem, I basically am your mom."

"yeah."

"How about we go back to the hospital?"

"fine. but if i get scolded by killua, i'm leaving."

"Then I'll just tell him not to scold you."

"good enough."

Killua's POV:
why did i have to be like that???? i just pushed gon away and i don't think he'll ever come back.

but i also kicked out kurapika and leorio. i'm a mess.

however, the door opens. it was gon and mito. i'm surprised he even wanted to come back.

"gon-" i said but he cut me off with a hug.

"BAKA! don't do that! it's embarrassing in public!" i said.

he stops hugging.

"so you still hate me, don't you?" he asked.

"no, who said that???" i said.

"you sure? it seemed like you hated me yesterday."

"gon, i'm sorry for kicking you out like that."

"yeah, and i was trying to help you but you decided to flip me off. but i guess i deserve it..."

"hey, don't think that you deserved that!"

"i'm the reason why you're in the hospital."

"baka, don't think that. you're just gonna end up sad. see look at me? i'm fine!" i give a smile.

"i just can't help but to think that."

i decided to hug him with my one movable arm. he cries into my shoulder.

"gon, it's okay, i'm okay."

"i-i'm not okay. i have me p-punching you engraved in my b-brain." he hugs me tighter.

i start ruffling his hair. i'm hoping it makes him feel better.

i hear the door open again. mito left.

"i don't wanna leave you again." he said.

"not like i would let you."

i give him a peck on the cheek.

i see the door open. mito, kurapika, leorio, and alluka entered the room.

"Hi, Killua, gonna kick us out again?" kurapika said entering the room.

"pffffffft. no. i got gon back."

"So, Gon is your source of happiness then."

"i guess."

"What about earlier?"

"please don't remind me or him about that." i pointed to gon.

"Oh, sorry. Anyways, how's Gon?"

"crying in my shoulder."

"the hell did you think i was doing?" gon asked.

"I don't know, maybe hugging?" kurapika answered.

"I spoke to your doctor, Killua." leorio said. "You should be out of the hospital soon, as you only have a broken arm."

"how 'bout i kick your arm like you did to me at heavens arena?" gon added.

"if you dare to-"

"that shit HURT!"

"sorry-"

"apologies won't do anything, you did it on purpose."

"okay? it's sorta not like how i was trying not to be an assassin anymore..."

"and it's not like you turned back into one..."

"baka, if you dare bring that back up again, i'll break your damn arm."

"shut up, you won't do that."

"totally."

"i have a question for all of you. am i worth all the trouble?"

"No!" everyone in the room said.

"why would you be any trouble?" i asked.

"just asking." he hugs me.
