Sapphire walked behind Jade to the
garage where he parked his car. They were about to leave and Jade was fuming as if he had fire on his head.“I told you last time. You can't have any other man in your life except me. You signed a contract with me alone, not with him!”
“He's not any other man. Rome is just my friend's older brother which means he's my brother!” Sapphire clearly explained.
“I don't fucking care who he is, got it! I won't allow it! Just pretend you don't know him from now on!” Jade warned.
“Excuse me mister, we aren't even married so why the attitude?! My friends' brother is my friend. Same, your aunt's husband is your uncle. The earlier you accept people in your life, the better for you.”
“Don't annoy me, Sapphire. I'm pissed off already. What was that act he was putting up? Hey, it's not like we just have a normal relationship either...” Jade mimicked Rome's Baritone voice.
“Stop talking about him like that. He's also an elder brother to me, you know? Also, I've known him for ovee 10 years! How could I possibly ignore him?” Sapphire asked.
“So you've known him for 10 years? It's about time you stopped knowing him, then. I don't want to ever see you with him or any other guy. Got it?!” Anger was laced in Jade's voice as he warned.
“Say something that actually makes sense.” Sapphire eyeballed him annoyingly. “Rome is family, and we're closer than you think.”
About to get into his car, Jade grabbed Sapphire by the arm and pushed her to his car. She shivered in fear as he gnawed at her with eagle eyes. Staring into her eyes as if he would rip her heart into a million pieces if she doesn't agree with him.
“Are you in love with him?”
Silence reigned between the both of them for a while.
“W... what? Why are you asking me such stupid questions?”
“Just answer me, already!” He shook her aggressively.
“Why are you acting like this, Jade? You're hurting me?” Her voice trembled as water clouded her eyes.
Seeing her scared made him hate himself. Jade didn't want his emotions to take the better part of him but for some reasons, he just wants to ensure that she's his and his alone.
He slowly took his hands off her as she wiped off her tears.
Jade let out a deep breath and slowly gazed into her blue eyes once more. “You do know the breach of our contract, right?”
“Why is that a breach of contract? I told you I've known him half my life! How can I pretend not to know people I consider family, because he's a guy?”
“Stop talking about him so endearingly! If there's nothing between you two then ignore him! Like I said, we need to refer to people properly!”
“Then Rome... “ Sapphire murmured.
Not wanting to hear more about him, Jade moved closer to Sapphire. He tilted his head closer as if he wanted to kiss her already.
Scared, Sapphire leaned her back on his car and closed her eyes tightly. One thing she's crazily scared of is his annoying kiss. Thinking about the last one still gives her goosebumps.
“All right, Just stop it already! I agree with whatever you say!” She cried a thousand words at once.
Jade moved closer a bit.
“Goodness gracious! I'll think about it!” She rolled her eyes at him but in a twinkle of an eye, Jade placed his lips on hers. Her lips were closed but he could still feel the pressure. Of wanting her. Of wanting more. It was just so unexpected.
Sapphire swallowed hard as a million butterflies pierced in her stomach. As if he felt the same way too, the both of them felt heated as they both shared an eye contact. Her eyes were having the same colour, similar to that of a clear, unclouded sky; low in spirit, morally rigorous and strict.
Jade was lost in her eyes when she suddenly pushed him away.
"Geez! You're the King of devils!"
"King of devils?!" He whooshed out at her. "Who exactly are you referring to?"
"It's no one.” Sapphire lied, not wanting to get kissed again. She pouted her lips out and hissed."Just in case you know, I really hate you. Plus you have a very nasty temper." She opened the door of his car and got in.
Jade wore a mysterious smirk as he joined her.
“Put on your seatbelt!” He instructed.
Sapphire took a stealthy look at him as she adamantly put on her seatbelt. For some reasons, she doesn't want to be a puppet, Jade would toy around. She wanted him to respect her own decisions as well. Jade drove down to road while they left Florida.
Just then, a beautiful looking girl with black, curly hair walked in. She was Ruby, Jade's closest cousin who he considers to be, sister. Apart from Kate, his adopted mother, Ruby is the other person in the family he loves to relate to.
“Father, where's Jade?” She asked her dad, anxiously.
“He just left.” Burke told his daughter.
Disappointment plastered Ruby's face as she walked out.
Although, Burke knew his daughter was so found of Jade. She would have just came earlier to meet him.

On the other side of the clock, Mr. Charles had meeting with Walter Damien. After the meeting, Mr. Charles met Ace, waiting for his dad.
“Oh, Ace Damien. It's been a while.” Mr. Charles greeted.
“Yes sir.” Ace responded with a simple bow.
“You're still single, right?”
Ace cast a brief look at his dad's smiley face but didn't reply.
“How about taking this opportunity to become my son-in-law? Hmm?” Mr. Charles proposed.
“We'd love to.” Walter replied as they both shake hands.
“Okay then. Have a safe trip home, sir.” Walter added while Mr. Charles walked into his executive car.
His driver drove him out of the car park as Ace and his dad went back into the Mall.
“What brought Chairman Charles here?” Ace questioned.
“Well, nothing much." Walter scoffed and decided to change the topic."So, did you find out who Jade is dating?”
“No. But the way he did his best to stop the media. She's definitely no ordinary woman.” Ace muttered.
“So, he stopped the media, eh?” Walter simpered."Interesting! This means that the chairman knows about this too. You must tail him, son. We'll have to find out who she is to figure out how to deal with her.” An evil smirk appeared on Walter's face.
“Yes Dad.” Ace replied as Walter walked into his office.
Ace pondered on what next to do. A mysterious grin played on his face while he walked the opposite way.
