Getting there, Zoey knocked and peeped through but couldn't see anything. She remembered the password and quickly opened the door. She noticed Sapphire was lying on the floor.
"Fire! Why won't you pick up your phone?" Zoey asked as she quickly took off her shoes and rushed to her friend.
"Sapphire! Oh my!" She threw her bag away and helped Sapphire up. "What happened? Why are you doing this again, fire!" She cried and gently took her to the bed.
Zoey noticed that she was still breathing. She ran to the kitchen and took some ice from the fridge, placing it into a small blue bowl. She grabbed a white towel and deepened the towel into the cold water and squeezed it. She gently wiped Sapphire's sweaty forehead. It was as if her face and hair was dripping due to the heat in the room. Zoey quick opened up the windows for ventilation.
Rushing to her friend and wiping her face again. Gently. Affectionately. Knowing how much Sapphire had gone through since she's started the relationship with Jade. Since the kidnap. Or rather, since she had signed the contract.
"What am I going to do now, bestie. Your temperature is raising." Zoey hissed and checked her phone abruptly.
"Why is this guy taking time? Ugh!" She hissed and continued wiping her face with the white, cold towel.Just then, the door opened. It was Roman.
"I'm here, she'll be alright!" He muttered
"Why didn't you close the door?"I left it opened for you she replied him. Roman came along with a package bag and sat beside her bed.
"Be fast about it, bro! Fire is going to die!"
Roman gently brought out the thermometer from his suitcase and checked her temperature.
"38.9 degree Celsius. You could have called 911! Why did you call me? I'm a dentist, not a doctor?" Roman raised his voice at her.
"You had more experience than just looking into people's mouth for 6 years, right? We sacrificed so much on your education after all." Zoey fired back.
"Whatever, I brought some sedatives. It's going to help her regain consciousness." He gently injected her with a syringe and watched her closely.
"I guess things were hard for her."
"Damn it, like seriously?!" Zoey cursed remembering what she saw earlier. Should I just kill that annoying CEO guy or what?! No matter how I think about it, he's the cause of all her suffering!"
"No, sis. I think both of them were really into each other. I don't know for now but I'm sure, that guy is suffering just as much as she is." Roman explained.
"Ugh! This pisses me off so much!" Zoey let of an heavy sigh.
It was dark as the bottom of the well, Jade went to the garden where the chairman was buried. He started at it, lost in thoughts.
"Why did you leave me, grandpa? What you did was unfair, you know?" He wiped off the dust as his fingers lingered on his name.
Jade fought back the emotions going through his mind. He heaved out an heavy breath before continuing. The ghost silence hovering the air made him want to let out all his feelings.
"I.... Broke up with that girl. I mean, Sapphire Blac." Gut-wrenching sobs tore through his chest while hurting tears spit out of his eyes.
"Aren't you going to say anything? Aren't you going to scold me or call me punk like you usually do? Aren't you going to yell at me and call me an idiot for losing her?" His eyes bleed with pain to every word. The tears lingered down his check like a child.
