A cruel smile spread on Walter's slim, darker lips.
“It says that Jade will get the first chance to seduce the girl. So if he fails, someone else can have a shot at it. That points to you, my son. Seduction is also part of business, you know? Your grandfather wants to know how capable you are so, you'll have to prove to him you're better than Jade in ever way.”
Hearing this, Ace looked convinced about all of it. What he wants now is to try in winning Sapphire's heart, over. As one thing is clear, Jade would never get a chance in winning.

Jade walked to his windows and find new flower pots.
“These weren't here before I left.” He noticed.
“They're gifts from me. I think your huge house needs more colour in it. Afterall, I came empty-handed yesterday. I thought the flowers would bring more life in here and even though they're not as pretty as me.” She smiled at him like a cute baby as she served lunch.
A crooked smile spread across his lips as he realized. Jade couldn't help but to admire her, more.“Make sure to water them well, instead of letting them wither.” Sapphire warned.
“If you're that worried, you can come by and water them, yourself.” Jade joined her on the dining table. “Is it safe for me to eat?”
Sapphire wore a stern look at him as she stopped him from taking a spoon. Later, she left it for him, still feeling pissed.
“Oh yeah. Since we're doing renovations anyway. Is there anything you need fixed? I'll have the guys work on it since they're already working on your place.”
“Renovations?” She questioned. “Aren't you just installing one more lock on the door?”
“I'm getting a security system and an interior renovation done for you.” He exposed.
“There's no need for that. It's just a rooftop apartment and it's rental. Sapphire explained further. And what's this about a security system, now? That place doesn't even belong to me.”
Jade suddenly went quiet. Sapphire looked at him, flabbergasted until he muttered.
"I bought that place."
Hearing this, Sapphire started coughing. Jade handed her a glass cup of water to gulp down her dried throat before she replied.
"Hold up. What?! You bought it?!"
"I told the owner that we'd be installing a security system and he told me just to buy it instead."
"But still, how could you just buy it? It's not like that's a poultry house!"
I thought you said that you weren't actually rich yet!“I went to the municipal office, and saw that they're planning to build a park. There's also a lot of colleges nearby and a lot of subways nearby, too. It'll definitely be profitable for me to remodel it and sell it later. So, I considered it an investment and just bought it.”
Sapphire looked depressed as he explained. She can't believe he bought her house and her whole neighborhood as well.
“Wow! You're stupidly impossible, Jade. I hope you know that.”
“Whatever! You should be grateful I did.”
“Well, its nice to be so rich. And yes! I'm not paying you any rent. I signed for a two year lease.” She explained and drank an amount of water.
“No, you signed the lease last year. So you have one year and two months left, to be precise.” Jade pointed out, frankly. In his CEO voice.
“Don't eat my food then!” She dragged the plate of chicken soup from his front.
“Hey, I only managed to get a bit of that and just in case you've forgotten, this is my food! My plate and my house!” He dragged the plate back but Sapphire slapped his hand as the drag for the late of chicken soup.
Sapphire was adamant about leaving it for him or making him win. Jade took his spoon, almost beating her hand with it, she let go.
Jade took a sip immediately, concentrating on the plate of chicken soup as if his life depends on it.
“How annoying!" Sapphire hissed and went upstairs.
She changed into a faded, jean skirt and white, stylish blouse. She grabbed her handbag and packed up her Auburn hair in a ponytail as usual.
Jade caught her as she seemed to be in a hurry. He just left the soup and pulled her arm.
“And we're are you going?” he raised an eyebrow.
“I'm going to see Gabbie.” she spat at him.
“Shouldn't you take my permission before leaving? It's seems as if you enjoy seeing me worried about you.”
“I'm not a baby, okay? Perhaps, Gabbie is busking today at Los Angeles. He said that it'd be at 4:00 p.m, so I think I'll manage to make it just in time.”
“You can't do that!” Jade pulled her back. It's my turn to pick were we're going today.
“OMG! We've been together since yesterday. How come you don't forget our appointment days?”
Jade didn't say anything. He just grabbed her hand and pushed her to his car. He drove silently as they arrived a restaurant. Even though it was still sunny, outside. Everything in the looked dark, except for the neon lights that brought a little bit light and beauty to the room.
Immediately they got in, Lucas meet up with them.“Hello sir.” Sapphire greeted.
“Awwww! You dressed better last time. It was a lot more impactful.” Lucas brought up.
“Oh.. don't mind me.” Sapphire joked, remembering about what happened when they last met.
"And please, don't call me sir." He corrected. "It makes me feel older. Just call me Lucas."
Sapphire smiled at him while Jade vexed."Don't call him Lucas! Jade rolled over to his friend. It makes me feel he's interested in you as well." Jade angrily grabbed her hand to take a seat.
Lucas nodded his head as he knows, Jade is trying to be protective. He joined them and took a seat beside Jade.
Just then, Chloe peeped from a corner, watching the both of them. She was wearing a red minigown and her hot, rose-red lipstick to fit.
Lucas was about to order champagne as they heard her voice.
"Jadee, my dear." Chloe placed her hands on Jade's chair, romantically.
A sudden thrill ran through Sapphire. She wasn't expecting that.
'Wow! She's even talking to him without honorifics.' A voice muttered in her head and she suddenly felt sweaty.
Sapphire turned to her with a friend but she couldn't help but to stare at her well defined figure. She looked like the number '8' but with long, sexy arms and legs. Plus that pretty face?... Sapphire lips let out a soft sigh.
With this, Chloe shared an eye contact with her as she placed a smirk on her lips.
“Who's that? I've never seen her before.”
“You don't need to know.” Jade replied her, trying to unbutton his jacket as well. It seemed as if he was feeling the same heat as Sapphire. But Sapphire swallowed hard, trying to concentrate and act as if she isn't even listening.
"That just made me more curious." She folded her arms on her chest, looing at Sapphire in a funny manner.
“Hello there, miss. I'm Chloe Charles Biden.” Chole muttered, resting her hands in her hips with a malicious grin across her face.
Sapphire immediately stood up and raised her hand to her in an handshake. "I'm Sapphire Blac."
With this, Chloe's dark eyes rolled on Sapphire's slim body. It looked as if she was disgusted so, she didn't bother receiving the handshake.
