"Jade! what are you even saying? Are you alright?" Sapphire looked startled at him.
She never imagined that Jade would ever raise his voice at her. Although, Sapphire felt a stab in her heart. She tried to console him but he moved away.
"Just leave me alone, Fire! I'm so disappointed in you right now. I'm just speechless. You know what? I can do better without you so fuck off!" Jade rolled his enraged eyes at her, as tears escaped from the corners of his eyes. He wiped it off immediately and sniffled away with his face turning red out of burning anger.
"Jade!" She called after him but he rushed out of her apartment and walked downstairs. Sapphire, in her pink night gown ran after him but he got into his car and zoomed off, disappointedly without even turning back at her.
"Jade! Where are you going?" Sapphire called and she ran out to catch up with him but she couldn't meet up.
It was too late.... She stopped for a while, to catch her breath as she watched the red-neon, taillight of his car fade into the distance."How could he speak to me like this? He's not angry at me, right?" Tears welled up in her eyes.
Nothing felt alright.
"Something is definitely wrong." Sapphire cried to herself as she rushed into her room, upstairs. With an heavy heart, she grabbed mobile phone from the top of her reading table where she placed it earlier.
Sapphire scrolled through it's screen, and immediately and dialed a contact.
As tears lingered down her eyes, she gathered a little more courage before talking, but she quickly wiped it away with the heel of her right palm.
Placing her phone to her ears to listen if he picks up but the electronic beeping sound was the only reply she heard.
"Oh Jeez! Why isn't he picking up again? I can't believe this is happening all because of a stranger. Someone I don't even know." She pressed the call button again and again but Jade ignored her call.
Meanwhile, the young CEO felt bittered as he zoomed into the busy streets. Sullen in fury, he packed his car in front of a nightclub somewhere along the street and decided to grab a drink. For some reasons, Jade wanted to call Lucas but he didn't feel the need to. He didn't want help from anyone... He just wanted to be... Alone.
It was a two story building filled with people whom were mostly teenagers. The blearing music filled the room and disco the disco ball, hung at the middle of the room, flashed red and blue neon lights around the corners of the room. Some guys where taking flavored pipes. Some lesbians beside them were kissing each other in a romantic mood but Jade took his glance away.
It was a bit crowdy; the place was filled up with customers and guests whom were chatting, busy with one thing or another. Some were drinking while others were watching, praising and showering clean dollars for the strippers dancing by the pole.
Jade find his way to the front of the Bar-man and took an empty seat that was available.
"What can I offer you?" The Bar-man asked with an authentic smile across his slim, chapped lips. As if he knew Jade from somewhere or something.
"Just champagne." Jade ordered after which he rolled his eyes at the people seated right next to him.
The Bar-man whom had red, cocky hair served him a bottle of Billecart-Salmon Brit Reserve champagne placed in a small, stainless bowl filled with ice. With it, was a wine cup for him to drink with but Jade ignored the cup and drank directly from the bottle instead. He untied his necktie a bit and unbutton the first two buttons on his white-sleeved shirt.
