****Sapphire cuddled her pillow tight as she managed to peep, her whole body became sweaty as she suddenly heard.
"Fire! Fire! It's me! I'm so pressed, please open the door for me!" Zoey hit the door violently.
"Oh, it's Zoey." Sapphire informed Jade.
"Can't you hear me?!" Zoey intoned, still banging the door with her fist.
"One second, please!" Sapphire yelled and said her final words to Jade. "See you next week, Mr. Jade. Bye!"
She cut the call abruptly and went to attend to her friend.
"Hello!" Jade muttered, still wanting to talk to her. "What was that?" He wondered and started at the screen of his phone. It was already 2:00 a.m.
"So it's Zoey at her door? What's it with that family again? They're all involved with my girlfriend and imagine someone knocking like that this late." He hissed. "What's it with everyone in that family? They won't let Fire sleep in peace. Ugh!"
He sighed and adjusted his clothes.
"Man, I'm wide awake." Jade walked downstairs to arrange the model toys on his table.
"Hey, I almost peed in my pants! Who were you talking to on the phone? And why did you use the second lock on your door? For a second, I thought you weren't around." Zoey raised a slim eyebrow.
"I heard all the flats in the next building got broken into, that's why."
"Really?"
"Yes. But why are you here instead of staying in your own place? Did you fight with your mum again?! It's kind of risky to walk at night, you know."
"Dear, I seriously feel like passing out!" Zoey mumbled. "You know how mum and daughter relationships are. She won't let me rest. Plus she's on my neck on this getting a rich husband issue. Tell me, who were you on the phone with? Was it Gabby again?"
"Geez! Date him if you want to! Why don't you date him?" Zoey suggested.
"Shut up girl! You know I'm 6 years older than your junior brother. What kind of friend are you?" Sapphire hissed.
"Well, that kid is merely a student, and you're his teacher. I know you guys go out every Saturday mornings! I know everything, Fire, so stop pretending!"
Zoey mouthed and jumped on the bed beside where Sapphire was laying."It's not like that between us. And hey! This is my bed, not yours! Sleep on the floor, okay?" Sapphire conveyed.
"No, thanks! I won't!" Zoey kicked Sapphire out of the bed.
"What?! I can't believe you just kicked me..." Sapphire whined like a little baby.
"Sleep on the floor tonight, huh?" Zoey wore a catty face at her friend and threw the pillow at her.
"It wasn't Gabby? Who was it, then? Did your mum called you again?"
"No!" Sapphire cried and suddenly hugged the pillow between her legs. A blush spread out on her face as she said... "I'm dating, remember?"
"Oh, really... Oh, really?" Zoey went ahead and tickled her while Sapphire tried to hide herself from Zoey's tickling fingers.
She pushed her away with the pillow and asked her to stop. Zoey crawled back to bed as Sapphire laid on a mat.
"Rome told me that he met you guys and the guy is no joke."
"Oh yeah, Rome... Oh, no!" Sapphire closed her eyes and cried. "What am I supposed to do now? What would I call him if not his name? I'm trying so hard not to. Geez!" Then she stopped and went serious.
"At any rate, tell your older brother to keep his mouth shut. Mum and dad mustn't hear about this."
