On the other hand, Jade was on his way to work when his phone started ringing.
He picked it up to listen to Lucas's voice.
"Hey, did you see today's paper?"
"My breakfast meeting just ended. I'm on my way to work right now. Why? Did grandpa say something again?" He adjusted his earpiece to hear him properly.
"No, the chairman isn't the issue right now. Wait, you're driving right now, right? Just read it when you get to work." Lucas cut the call and threw his phone on his desk.
Things were getting too hot as it is. As if they hadn't had enough with the issues on ground. Someone must have definitely reported the false news and now it's causing more problem. Lucas thought as he took off his reading glasses and wiped the beads of sweat forming in the lines of his forehead.
He grabbed the newspaper on his table again, to read.
Way to write a great article.
"A Couple Is Born In The Financial World.""Jade Alejandro, the eldest grandson of Chairman Stephen Alejandro of BB Group is engaged to Chloe Charles, the only daughter of Chairman Charles, of Charles Chemicals."

Sapphire was in her room still staring at the screen of her mobile phone with so much hate.
"How can one be so deceitful?!" She asked herself as. Her blue eyes slowly flooded with a pool of tears. She tried to hold it back as quick as possible but all Sapphire could feel was his betrayal. "Now, he's engaged and even getting married right in front of me. I thought we signed a contract. I thought we made our rules? How could he go on with this without my consent?..."

Meanwhile, tons of calls were coming in to verify if the news were false or not.
"He's not here right now, so I'll call you back after confirming with him." Mr. Tim answered a call.
"Yes, hello! No, we haven't confirmed that, yet." Miss Barabra replied an unknown person over the phone.
More and lots of people were calling into the hotel to ask if the information was true or not. Their eyes and ears were everywhere.
The electronic robot-like sound of the phones standing on their tables were ringing, same was their mobile phones, vibrating in his side pocket.
"What's going on here?" Jade's eyes searched the room immediately he got in.
"No, there's nothing to worry about." Mr. Tim ends the call and quickly ran after Jade that was about to enter his office. About to pick the call, Tim interrupted by gently, pulling Jade aside.
"No sir. Well... Um..." Mr. Tim was about to explain but another call entered on Jade's mobile phone.
Mr. Tim collected it immediately and switched it off.
"What's going on, Mr. Tim? Can you explain to me?""It's complicated sir, but... Don't believe any of it." Mr. Tim urged.
Going to seat on his executive chair, Jade saw his picture collaged with Chloe's.
"What?! What's this?!" Jade asked as his stared at his laptop screen on disbelief.
"It's all lies. It's another fake news, sir. Right?"
"Of course, it's a lie! Why would I be engaged with Chloe Charles?! We're not fucking getting married!" He hissed.
"Ah! What a relief!" Mr. Tim retorted like a bird who has just gained it's freedom. "Our phones are literally blowing up because of this article. Our shares have taken a hit and there are tons of posts online!"
