That was the story of Aidy Curtis, the one who lived so Johnny and Dally could get there happy endings. Her ending isn't an end, instead a beginning.
If you think I'm evil, just know Aidy died so new conversation would soon begin. There were signs throughout the book she was deeply struggling and though we want to love Pony, Soda, and Darry, we have to know they did nothing to help her.
