Ivy and Hanna walked down the stairs, hearing some laughter coming from the kitchen. They walked in to see Ashley and Tom. "Morning." Tom greeted.
"Hi. What's going on?" Hanna asked. Ivy moved straight to make a coffee, as she couldn't survive without one. "Your father has a meeting on this side of town."
"And I thought I'd drop by and give you a lift to school."
"Oh, well, Mona usually picks us up." Hanna said. "Yeah, that's what I hear. Next time I'll call ahead. Maybe Monday or another day next week" He suggested.
Ivy sat down as far away from Tom as possible, sipping at her coffee. "So you're staying in Rosewood?" The green-eyed girl asked.
"For a while. I can get some business done at the hotel." Tom answered Ivy. "And I want to be here for you both."
Ivy nodded awkwardly. "Tom, you want some coffee to go?" Ashley got up. "No, no, I'm good, thanks."
"Ok, then." He awkwardly moved to kiss Hanna's head. "Have a good day at school." He walked out the door.
"Dick." Ivy mumbled, finishing off her coffee.
"So what was so funny?" Ivy asked. "What?"
"When we came downstairs, you guys were laughing." Hanna reminded.
"Oh, that. Your Dad reminded me of the first time I made dinner for his mother." Ashley walked to the fridge. "While I was cooking, your grandmother rearranged the living-room furniture. Came out, didn't even recognise my own house. She is a piece of work."
"Well, that's Isabel's problem now, right?" Hanna asked. "I'm just saying, if he's marrying her, why are you so jolly and going out to buy him hazelnut creamer for his coffee?"
"Because dairy makes him sick." Ashley put the creamer in the fridge. "Your father and I have long history and believe it or not, we used to laugh, a lot."
"Must've missed that part." Ivy mumbled.
"Ivy." Ashley scolded. "I'm sorry, we just think it's weird that your suddenly all 'Team Tom' ." Ivy stated.
"I'm not. I'm fully aware of who your father is and what he's done, but, he has his moments."
Ivy fake gagged. "You. Get ready for school." Ashley pointed at Ivy. Ivy stood up and left the kitchen.
"Look, just because somebody hurt us once, doesn't mean we have to permanently delete them from our phone book. Things change, people grow." Ivy heard Ashley say as she was climbing up the stairs. She paused, thinking over what Ashley said, then continued up the stairs.

Ivy stood a the bathroom stall with Hanna. They heard the door close and Ivy got out followed by Hanna. "We got to find a better place to do this, somewhere preferably with a fan."
