It was Monday morning and the girls still hadn't heard from Spencer. They had called, texted, and searched the halls for her incase she showed up; But she was nowhere to be seen. Not hearing from Spencer made Ivy, and the rest of the girls, panic.
Ivy seemed to be more worried than the rest of the girls; She was paranoid that 'A' had managed to torment Spencer while the rest of the girls were focused on Ivy. It would've been a perfect plan. Everyone was focused on Ivy and her safety, which meant they forgot to check in on Spencer.
She felt so stupid for not realising anything sooner. Spencer had been continuously texting Ivy to check in on her after she left the Marin house, but after a while Ivy stopped hearing from her. She blamed herself because she should've thought something was wrong, but she was focused on finding Toby that she forgot about the one girl who had her back: Spencer.
Because Ivy was worrying about Spencer she had totally forgot about the test she had the next day. So she accepted failure and showed up to Math first period and completely winged it. She knew she wouldn't do her best, but it didn't matter as Mr Pierce would shout at her anyway. She was too focused on Spencer to care.
Scanning the courtyard, Ivy saw no sign of Spencer. They had searched the cafeteria, the library, and even the principal's office - worried that she was in trouble or something. Spencer also hadn't shown up to her first two classes, which increased the girls' anxiety.
"I was hoping she'd be here, but she isn't." Emily let out a sigh, turning back from her search and looking at the three girls.
"Do you think Spencer just didn't get your S.O.S.?" Aria suggested. She was trying to remain hopeful, despite the other girls' attitudes. Normally Ivy would be the one who thought positively, but she was overwhelmed with guilt - thinking that something could've happened to Spencer and it was all her fault.
"Maybe, but she must have gotten one of the other twelve messages we sent," Emily pointed out.
Hanna shook her head, trying to stop everyone's anxiety from skyrocketing. "Okay, you guys, she has ditched school before, alright? It's not a big deal."
Ivy let out a shaky breath, trying to slow her pounding heart. "Yeah, you're right. I just hope she's safe," She admitted.
Hanna nodded reassuringly. "She will be, don't worry." She pulled Ivy into her side, giving her a comforting hug. She knew Ivy would be feeling guilty for not checking up on Spencer, and knew that the girl would get herself stuck in a spiral if she didn't have anybody to pull her out of it.
"Okay, we just need to get through today. If she doesn't call or show up, we'll go to her house after school," Emily suggested.
RINGGG!!!
The school bell broke up their conversation, and reminded Ivy that she had history next, which brought a smile to her face. History was one of her favourite subjects, and she loved her teacher, which made it even more enjoyable. She found it an easy subject to study for and learn. History came easy to her, whereas math did not.
