It was two days before Halloween and the six girls were walking down the street, all talking about their Halloween plans. "So what do you think, Em? Should Hanna be 'Cute Britney' or 'Bald Britney'?" Alison asked. "If she wants to be, Cute Britney." Emily replied.
"Aria." Alison turned to the girl with the pink streaks in her hair. "She's not going to shave her head." Aria laughed. Alison turned to look at Spencer, who was typing on her phone. "Spencer, you're worse than my father."
"Sorry. But I did just procure nine votes from the debate team." She said. "Good job." Ivy praised. "Wait, that's a good thing, right?" Hanna asked. "Yeah. And 'procured' means to obtain with special effort. And 'obtain' means to—"
Spencer got interrupted by Alison. "Are you going to recite the entire dictionary?"
Spencer ignored her and answered her previous question. "I think Hanna should be who she wants to be." Spencer smiled. "I agree." Ivy voiced from beside Emily and in front of Aria. "Fine. But you better wear the tightest skinny pants you can fit your big butt into."
Ivy stared at Alison. A horrid look on her face. Emily's phone rang and she pulled it out from her bag. "Ben?" Aria speculated. "He's all about me going as a sexy cop for Halloween. But I'm thinking Indian girl." The girls laughed and nodded.
A car pulled up beside them. It was Noel and his friends. "What a shame. All that testosterone and not a sheep in sight." Ali smiled. "Careful, Alison. I get your jokes, but someday you might meet a guy who doesn't." Noel looked at Ivy. "Hey, Ivy. How are you?" Ivy spun her head to look at him. "Oh, I'm good." She gave him a small smile, which he returned.
He then turned back to Aria. "So, am I going to see you at my party on Friday?" He wondered. Aria looked at each of the girls. "Um, I didn't know we were invited." She said. "Your Ali's friends, right?" A car beeped from behind him, wanting him to move. "Come prepared to be scared." Noel drove off and the girls freaked out. Ivy was trying to act cool, but inside was so excited.
"Did we just get invited to Noel Kahn's Halloween bash?" Hanna jumped, excitedly. "I'm a little embarrassed about how excited you girls are. It's just a party." Alison shrugged. "Ali, it's not just a party."
"It's THE party."Alison smiled at their reactions. "You're right. And I'm happy we'll be there together." The girls took of down the street, smiling and laughing. "We should get ready together. Spence, you've got the biggest bedroom. Let's have it there."
"Is that cool?" She asked. "Yeah."
"Hold up." Emily stopped them. "I think there's somebody in there." She said as they passed the creepy house on mockingbird street. "Are you just trying to scare us?" Hanna wondered. "No, I swear, I just saw someone in the window."
