Cassius Sencen.

Snobby, irritating, and a weird obsession with his ugly hair. He was infuriating.

Everytime Gisela saw him, she wanted to punch him in the face. Which was very often. He was sitting next to her in almost every class, which she suspected her teachers had done purposely to annoy her.

She hated him. From his scrawny legs to his freaking eyes. And his hair. It was hideous. He was top in every class, while Gisela slacked off whenever possible. He went by the rules. Gisela hated rules.

For that matter, she hated a lot of things. And she hated that too.

And for now, she was wandering the halls, waiting for someone to bother. Lucky her, the first person to show up was him.

"You know, you really should not be out here. Get to class," he said.

"Hmmm," she dragged out. "No thank you. I think you should work on fixing your appearance. Have you seen you?"

He scowled, but in a rather slightly hurt way. "You know, I'm not as bad as you think."

"I'd love to believe that. Now are you lost, or are you just here to bother me. Or could you not stay away?" Gisela smirked the smirk that would appear on her son's face many years later.

Cassius huffed. "Okay fine, maybe I am lost. Can you help? I need to get to detention."

Gisela's eyes widened. "Detention? You? D-detention? What in Atlantis did you do?" Cassius was not the type to get detention. He actually came to class early and lied his way into classes. It was ridiculous.

"I never got detention before. That's why I can't find it. I supposed that you would know all about detention."

She snorted. "Please. You're avoiding my question. What did you do? I didn't know you were capable of anything bad."

His face turned a shade darker, which made him look more alive. "Well I don't really have any friends, but Della Vacker (she's always nice to everyone) stopped by to tell me that maybe I could prank a teacher or blow something up in detention, and that could help me impress..."

"Who?"

"Nevermind. Well, I guess I can find detention myself. By the way, you actually talked to me today. I guess you think I'm amazing, don't you?"

Gisela stared openmouthed as he walked away. He had actually tried to lighten up and make a joke. It made his whole exterior seem different.

And in that moment, Gisela Minette started seeing him differently. In a way that was extremely unexpected.
