OMG WHAT THE HECK. We're at the end of the road. It's been an amazing almost-year getting to know y'all and bonding over tiana-fangirling. But I CANNOT BELIEVE IT AGGGGH- HOW IS IT OVER???
My brain: don't end it!!!
My logic: you should- every story needs and ending
My brain: oh shut up, what do you know?
My logic: a whole fat lot more than you do, clearly
And yet, alas, the logic won out :((( BUT STILLLLLLLLL. I love you peeps so much and thank you so much for supporting me throughout. You are STARS.
Extra Easter Egg! I feel like I should end the book with a kiss so here's an ending for Starbucks:
A Month Later
Biana could feel the cold gaze boring into her back, right past the open back of her flowy top. She adjusted her white jean skirt and ran a hand through her hair, just to piss off her rival even more.
After some pleading and threatening Dex, they'd tracked down Tam at their high school, along with all his friends and his stupid girlfriend. Tam had found her note that day, and started up a conversation with her via text.
Upon further investigation, Biana realized that behind her sarcastic facade and "I'm so edgy and depressed quirky" demeanor, Glimmer was actually insecure and jealous- but in a bad way. So Biana had been doing her best to dress slightly more revealing and acting extra sweet to Tam in front of her.
She tapped her foot against the leg of the table, impatient for Tam to arrive. Ever since the week before, Glimmer's hatred had increased. That incident was bored into the back of Biana's brain.
The moment Tam had cracked.
The moment Biana knew she finally had a clear shot.
As the bell chimed its annoying pattern, he stumbled into class, hair askew and shoelaces untied. He staggered over to his seat across Biana and promptly slumped over.
"Get up, Tam," Biana said firmly.
"What?" he asked blearily.
"Now."
He hurriedly stood, towering over her. Biana was sure to smile a sickly-sweet smile at Glimmer before continuing. "So, you remember that day we met at Starbucks? You got my number, right?"
Tam narrowed his eyes. "What're you on about, Bia? Of course I did. I texted you, didn't I?"
An audible scoff rang out behind them. "Tam? You literally texted another girl during our relationship?"
It must have been the lack of sleep added to his annoyance, because Tam replied with more aggression in his tone than required. "Look, Glimmer, I don't have time for your bullshit right now. Why shouldn't I text other girls? Linh's my sister- in case you haven't noticed, she's a girl. If you want to know why we broke up, it's because you're so damn controlling."
Even though the words were slightly childish, Biana winced. "Shh. Tam. Calm down," she chided, pressing a finger to his lips. "Anyways, uh, do you want to know the reason why I wrote that message?"
"Uh huh. Why?"
Slight footsteps could be heard. The entire class, who had stood to watch this little exchange, noticed too and motioned to Biana. She knew she had to hurry.
"Well- you know what, never mind. Before that, however, I want to thank Glimmer. She's the reason I got here," Biana winked at her.
And without further ado, she grabbed the collar of Tam's shirt, yanked him down, and pressed her lips to his.
