If I Could Tell Her

I've never done one of these before so please help me- Tiana made the most sense for this one so I used it but I'll add more variety soon dw-

Play the song I linked above when Tam says "he thought you were awesome."

Biana picked up a hairbrush and threw it, as hard as she could, towards her mirror, where it cracked and shattered, a few pieces flying towards her. She flinched, tracing her scars after what felt like forever. She thought she'd gotten over them. She was wrong.

Fitz was a traitor.

He'd promised.

He'd promised.

But he'd left anyways.

Left her to cope for herself. Like she was expendable. Just like that. Was she really not important to him? First Alvar, then Keefe, then Fitz.

Maybe it runs in your blood. Maybe you'll be next, whispered a nasty little voice in her head.

"Shut up," she declared to no one in particular. And to think her last words to him were: "I hate you! I hate you! I never want to see you again!"

Her wish had come true. At least probably. Fitz probably hated her now.

"He doesn't," supplied a voice.

Had she said that out loud? And how did Tam know he didn't? Wait, Tam? Huh?

Biana whirled. "Excuse me? How did you get here?"

Tam carried a guitar- he'd probably been at a class. He shuffled his feet. "I was asked to check on you."

She turned away again, disappointed. "Oh. Okay."

There was a pause, then Tam tried again. "Fitz doesn't hate you, Biana. He thought you were awesome."

Biana snorted, disbelieving. "He thought I was awesome? My brother?"

"Definitely!"

"How?"

There were a few guitar strings plucked at. "Well..." Tam advanced. "He said, 'there's nothing like your smile, sort of subtle, and perfect..."

"And real," he added.

Biana flushed. She knew Tam was trying to quote Fitz, but hearing it from his mouth had a different effect. As if it were his own feelings.

"He said," Tam continued.

"You never knew how wonderful that smile could make someone feel," He suddenly looked away, towards anything except her. "And he knew whenever you get bored you scribble stars on the cuffs of your jeans."

Biana automatically looked towards her feet and smiled. Sure enough, there were those stars she'd sketched on during school. She hadn't realized Fitz noticed anything about anyone except him. Except maybe he didn't. Maybe it was just what Tam noticed about her...

"And he noticed that you still fill out those quizzes that they put into those teen magazines," Tam continued.

Despite herself, Biana let out a giggle. She loved filling them out and then ripping them apart- that's how wrong they were.

"But he kept it all, inside his head- what he saw he left unsaid."

Did he? He thought all those things. He'd never told her. He'd left without telling her. The coward.

"And though he wanted to,"

Did he?

"He couldn't talk to you..."
