Hey there! It's Esme. I cannot BELIEVE WE HIT 1K!!!! Well, we hit it a month ago but sTiLL. I want to thank you all for being so amazing and supportive of this book. I think that's basically how I got over my two month writers block this year.

As a present, we have a rather late 1K special coming up (which is set in a human AU). I felt like I was being too mean to Fitz so we include him in this oneshot (even though he still sucks). Let's get started.

Holiday On the Line

Delicate flakes glided down, coating the huge mansions in a blanket of frost. Sophie Foster emerged with a sheet of cookies and a huge set of icing-filled piping bags. Her mom Edaline quickly followed. "Sophie, no delays, you know we need to be all cozy before the blizzard. If it comes by early, take shelter in the friend's house you're at," she said worriedly, looking her daughter over.

Sophie turned back, almost running now, and called back, "Okay mom! Love you!"

"Love you too!"

She could practically hear the music and smell the special confections that wafted out of every other kitchen around this time of year. On her way, she passed a few people she knew, like the school doctor Elwin, Wylie Endal, and even Stina Heks, who was being nice- probably just for this one day.

Sophie checked the list she also carried. "First stop, Fitz and Biana's house."

Biana Vacker checked her reflection one last time. Her hair was in two perfect buns on either side of her head, and her short white and blue dress matched her snowflake earrings. "Ooo, how about a little lip gloss..."

As she mulled over whether to use red or light pink, her annoying brother Fitz opened her bedroom door without knocking.

"Sophie's here!" he said before she could protest at his rudeness. Biana squealed and purposely knocked him over trying to get to the long spiral stairs first. He crashed down headfirst - but he would be fine, she knew. Fitz had an exceptionally thick skull both physically and mentally.

Sophie was setting a tray of cookies and icing down. "Hi Bi. You're coming to the party later right?"

Biana fluttered her eyelashes. "Why else do you think I dressed up?" Behind her, Fitz groaned, trying to sit up.

"You try to kill him or something?"

"Yeah. You know, the usual."

The girls settled onto the chairs. The radio announcer was saying: "The blizzard could come quicker- unexpectedly too. Be prepared to take shelter."

The blonde looked worried. "What if we don't make it on time?"

But Biana clapped her hands. "I have an idea! What if Fitz and I come with you to each of the houses and we decorate the cookies later? Who's the next person on your list?"

Sophie blushed. "Keefe."

Her friend smirked. "Of course. I'll ask Fitz to be a darling and get my jacket.

Biana was of course, excited to go to the party, but also excited to see a certain someone else...

Keefe woke up looking like Pepe the frog.

Sadly, this was the exact moment his best friend, his crush, and his probably ex-best friend showed up at the door.

What was worse that they all looked perfectly dressed. He groaned, tried to mess up his hair in a more articulate way and chugged down a bottle of Listerine. Putting on his best smirk, he answered the door. "By the way, I woke up looking like this," he informed them.
