Yes so I decided on the most basic name ever for the 4K special. Btw THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 500 FOLLOWERS AAAAA ❤️.
Sophie's heart staggered to a stop. She stared at the imparter again, just to make sure it was real. Keefe. Biana liked Keefe. That was horrible for Tam. But why did it make her sad too?
"Yo Sophie? Who were you calling?" Dex stood at the doorway. "And why do you look so terrified?"
Sophie tried her best to smooth the expression out. If she pretended she'd never heard Biana's voice, maybe things would go alright at the sleepover. "What? No, I was calling Keefe. Why would I be terrified? Not me! Haha."
Amused, Dex raised an eyebrow. "Uh huh. Had a lot to talk about to Keefe, eh?"
"What do you mean? Keefe's just a friend," Sophie's cheeks flamed.
Dex rolled his eyes and turned around to walk away. As he exited, Sophie caught him mumbling something like "Oblivious...... mirac... bug."
She shrugged. Okayyy, so now she just needed something to wear. It was times like these she needed someone okay with helping her pick out outfits that weren't all sparkle and frills. But alas, she only had Vertina, which meant much worse.
She was forced to settle on a knee length red dress, the skirt flowy silk and the top a little too tight for her liking. Wayyyyy too fancy. There was no way anyone else would show up like this! Although, she had to admit, with the French braid it did look sort of okay.
But something still needled at the back of her mind later that evening. The guests would be showing up soon, but all she could think about was Keefe and Biana. What if they ended up liking each other? What about Tam?
What about me? whispered a tiny voice that hadn't come to face in years.
There was a knock on the door. It echoed all the way up to the spiral staircases. Sophie tripped down them and pulled it open. She shouldn't have been taken aback by the crowd, since all her closest friends had slept over the previous day, but she was anyways.
A smirking Keefe waved in a way that made Sophie self conscious. Next to him stood Fitz, who smiled and nodded- he seemed to be holding onto Biana tight- she looked super sullen and annoyed. Maruca wore a similar expression. Finally there was Marella, who seemed to be silently laughing at all of them.
Sophie stared for a few more moments. "You gonna let us in or what?" Keefe teased.
"Oh!" She stepped aside.
Biana glared at her. "Nobody told me I'd have to come here. Nice frumpy dress."
The dress was NOT frumpy, but Sophie sure felt that way now. The boys and Marella had on simple tunics and pants, but Maruca and Biana seemed to have dressed their best to intimidate the rest of them.
A swirl of lavender sequins assaulted Sophie's eyes as Biana walked away, the long trail of her dress swishing behind her.
Then came the confusion. Hadn't she been pretending to be Biana's friend? Why would she act so hostile then? Had somebody told-
"So what do you wanna do first? What's the plan?" Tam's voice seemed to come out of nowhere as he stepped out of the shadows.
Sophie half smiled. "You'll see. Don't get Linh to tell you either- it's not gonna work." Her grin spread at his irritation, and she dragged him into the kitchen by his sleeve.
Linh stood facing their guests, talking animatedly. She must have been nervous though, because unbeknownst to her, water figurines appeared whenever she waved her arms around. Sophie felt a pang, watching everyone glued to Linh's face. It wasn't that she was jealous or anything, it was more like she wished she could attract that kind of attention. It would help her with... well-
