"I'm never drinking again." Sabrina groaned, her voice being muffled by the toilet bowl she had her face in. You had the unlucky task of holding her hair back while Shelia got her a bottle of water and some paper towels.
"You said that last time." You chuckled, leaning against the stall wall as you sat on the floor with her. Sniffles replaced the sound of retching and it didn't take long for you to realize that Sabrina had entered the sad stage of being drunk. You went from sitting to kneeling, switching the hand that held her hair so you could rub her back. "Hey, hey... It's okay."
"I'm sorry you have to deal with me." Sabrina whimpered, sloppily raising her hand to wipe her mouth.
"I don't have to 'deal' with you, Sabrina. You're my friend."
"Are you sure?" She choked out, lifting her head from the porcelain seat. You giggled at the streaks of eyeliner that were now staining her cheeks.
"Positive." You gave her a warm, genuine smile. The bathroom door squeaked opened. Shelia must've been back. However, instead of her voice calling out to find where you two were, a different set of voices rang through the room.
"Did he say it was her?"
"He's like, almost certain." You tried to ignore the conversation. You never liked to eavesdrop on anybody's conversations and instead returned your attention to your sick friend. However, your attention was drawn back to the two weirdly familiar voices when a certain name was dropped.
"He's crazy... Why would (y/n) (y/l/n) be here?" You perked up. The comment catching the attention of both you and Sabrina. The slobbery women lifted her head from the lid and furrowed her brows at the voices behind her. You peeked through the stall door, being careful not to make your presence known. A task that seemed way more difficult than originally expected when you recognized the women standing in front of the mirror.
Sarah and Courtney had to endure Shayne's ramblings of "She was here!" and "I saw her!" for the last twenty minutes and faked a bathroom trip to get out of there. The girls fixed up their makeup, continuing to chat about different, not-you related things before leaving the bathroom, the door slamming shut after they left. Sabrina sat up from the toilet, leaning against the stall across from you. Her hair, which was once in a neat bun on the back of her head was now loose, chucks of hair now hanging in her face.
"Well, shit... Maybe you did see him." She commented, laughing at her own comment before her eyes began rolling back into her head. You caught her before she could completely collapse into the corner of the stall and slumped her forward over the toilet again, her face in the bowl. Shelia eventually joined you in the bathroom, assisting you in cleaning and picking up your friend so you could carry her out to go home.
"You ladies ready to go?" Pedro asked, straightening out from his relaxed position at the bar. Jade sat next to him, her hand playing with the fabric of Pedro's shirt. Her attention turned to you as well, her eyes filling with concern at the sight of her passed out friend.
"Yes, please. We need to get her home." You stated, clearly the most sober person there.
"I'll go get our stuff." Jade said, quickly getting up and moving towards the booth. As she rushed to grab their things, she blew completely past the Smosh boys who were finishing off their drinks at their table.
Shayne's eyes kept scanning the room, desperately searching for you. The fact that you were wearing all black made it significantly more difficult to spot you in the dark atmosphere of the club. He couldn't believe he just lost you like that. You were literally there in his arms and then you weren't. It was like magic.
