"Hey, man... Are you doing alright?" Damien asked, pausing the game the two of them were playing. The paparazzi issue had died down for the most part meaning Damien could actually come over without being bugged. Seeing Shayne in this deep of a despair was killing him, but he had been so snappy at work the past few weeks that nobody wanted to bring it up. Today he seemed relatively calm so Damien decided to take a chance. Shayne looked over, seeing the desperate concern in his best friend's eyes.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He shrugged, immediately looking away. Damien was quiet. Shayne looked over to see his friend giving him a very dubious look. "What?"

"Dude, nobody's really wanted to say anything 'cuz you've been really mean lately, but what is going on? Is it something with (y/n)?" Shayne sighed. He couldn't keep this to himself forever.

"Yeah... Yeah, it is." Shayne put the controller down on his coffee table, sitting back and running a hand over his face. "I just... I can't handle not seeing her anymore."

"Well, she's doing her job-"

"I know, but she keeps posting pictures with Chris and I can't help it getting..."

"Jealous." Damien finished. Shayne nodded. "Have you talked to her about this?" Shayne got quiet causing Damien to raise a brow. "Have you talked to her at all?"

"Not for a while. I've kind of been ignoring her." Shayne confessed. Damien set his controller down, slapping a hand on the back of the couch.

"What? Why would you do that?" He exclaimed, throwing his arms out to the side. Shayne held his hands out in front of him.

"I don't know." Shayne defended. "I can't give you a straight answer because I don't have one." Shayne honestly couldn't think of why he was acting this way. He was just so angry. Not at you. But at your situation. He missed you. He didn't want to be over 3000 miles away from you all the time, and he knew you were just doing what was best for you, but it still killed him that he couldn't see you. And Chris... He's only talked to the guy once but there was something off about him. He didn't trust him around you.

"Well cutting her out of your life isn't going to make it any better."

"I'm not cutting her out of my life. I just don't know how to handle the situation."

"Has she tried texting you?"

"Yeah, I just haven't responded."

"So you're trying to save your relationship by completely ignoring the problem."

"Look, I'm not proud of it, but it's what's happening right now."

"Well you have to do something before she breaks up with you." Damien stated. Shayne's heart dropped, the thought that he had been denying for the past few weeks being brought to the forefront. "I'm sorry, but..."

"No, I get it." Shayne waved. "I'll call her tonight and sort things out."

"Okay..." Damien glanced at his friend. He didn't know if Shayne would do anything. Typically when Shayne got into one of these moods his motivation went away. He hoped that this situation was considered important to Shayne since that'd be the only way he'd actually do something. He stared at his friend for a moment longer, noticing how he took his phone out to look at his messages. Damien could tell from where he sat that it was you, the grey bubbles out-numbering the blues. 'Please do something about this, Shayne...'

"Alright! You ready to go?" Chris shouted out the window of his car. You laughed, nodding as you jogged over to the passenger side door.

"Let's do this!!" You cheered, laughing as you buckled yourself in.
