~4 Months Until the Interview~
"I can't help it, Jeremy... I'm in love with you. And it may seem foolish. But it's true. I love you. I'm your Love Fool."
"Oh, Julia.... I love you too." Chris moved forward, cupping the back of your neck and pulling you into a picture perfect kiss. Your hands moved up his chest, coming to rest at each side of his neck. Chris's other hand grabbed your waist, pulling you towards him as he disconnected his lips for a moment to cock his head the other way. He kissed you again, the tight lipped embrace being admired by the crew and set photographers.
"Cut!" Jackson called. "That's a wrap, everybody!" Immediately, you and Chris broke away from one another, smiling towards the edge of set. Chris wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his side. You wrapped your arms around his waist, resting your head against his chest. Jackson came down from his director's spot, grabbing a couple glasses of champagne and handing them to you and Chris. Everybody cheered and clapped, relieved that they were finally done with the movie. Jackson held his hands up, the glass of bubbly liquid clenched in the gap between his thumb and pointer finger. Everybody quieted down, allowing him to speak. "I just want to thank everybody for all their hard work these past two weeks. It was definitely a stroke of bad luck that we had to extend shooting, but you guys put in the work and it has paid off." Everybody clapped again. "And we owe it all to our amazing crew!" Cheering. "The catering staff who donated their time to make sure that we were all fed!" Hoots and hollers. "And to our amazing actors who nailed every shot in less than three takes!" He motioned to you and Chris. Chris hugged you tighter, swaying you back and forth. You laughed, showcasing your bright, toothy smile. "I really appreciate everybody for what they've done. This movie has been one that I've been wanting to make for a very long time and thanks to your dedication and hard work, it's going to happen. So thank you and you can, finally, go home." He held up his glass. Everybody matched his movements, cheering to his toast and sipping their champagne.
You hung out on set for a while, chatting and congratulating the different parts of the cast and crew for their hard work. As you were talking to one of the PA's, Chris snuck up behind you, holding a finger over his lips to tell the PA not to give away his position. Her eyes kept flicking behind you, watching as he got closer; however, you didn't seem notice. Chris quickly wrapped his arms around your torso and lifted you up, causing a loud squeal to escape your lips. You cackled as he ran around the room with you, laughing and spinning around with your body basically becoming like a ragdoll.
"Chris, stop!" You shouted through laughter. Chris obliged, setting you down and turning you around.
"So! Your flight leaves tomorrow afternoon which means that we have the rest of tonight to bid you farewell in the booziest way imaginable. Where would you like to go?" He asked, quirking an eyebrow at you. You giggled, placing a finger on your chin in fake contemplation.
"How about we hit every dive bar in town and see who has the best onion rings?"
"Yes!" Chris cheered, pumping his fists in the air. "It's like you read my mind! We can absolutely do that with the condition that we have to take at least three shots at every bar we go to."
"I wouldn't imagine it any other way. Charlie's first?" You smiled, holding your glass out to him. He smirked, nodding as he clinked his against yours. He chugged the rest of the golden liquid, throwing his head back as he did. You finished your glass, instead choosing to savor the taste of the sweet, tingly nectar. "Alright, let me go change and I'll meet you there around seven?"
"Sounds good!" He cheered. You began walking towards your trailers, something that had become kind of like a tradition for the two of you. You reached into your back pocket, pulling out your phone and unlocking it. Chris peeked over, watching as you opened an app and refreshed the page. You sighed, your shoulders dropping a bit as you placed your phone back into your pocket. He had a feeling that whatever just happened, it had to do with Shayne. You had been acting weird the past two weeks and he had a sneaking suspicion that it was about your relationship. He didn't know for sure and he didn't want to. He had pushed those boundaries once and he knew better than to do that again. "So uh... What's shooting going to be like for you for the next film?" This seemed to break you out of your funk. You looked up to him, your eyes brightening when you made eye contact.
