"(Y/n)!" Jade yelled through the phone. You laughed, setting your phone up against an empty coffee mug. "How are you?"

"I'm good! How've you been?" You giggled, sitting back on your trailer's couch. A small bag of almonds rested on the table next to your phone. Today was your last day of shooting. You wrapped about an hour ago and were waiting for Chris to finish so you could wrap things up with the entire cast and crew. It wouldn't take too long so you didn't want to order food and have it arrive right when you had to be on set. So you snacked. To pass the time, you decided to call Jade. The minute by minute schedule you had kind of forced you away from your friends, your mind unfortunately pushing away the thought of calling your day ones in your free time. Sure, you'd text all the time, but the two acts were on complete opposite ends of the spectrum when it came to communication.

"Oh, pretty good..." She strung out, a cheeky grin on her face. "Things have been... eventful." She hesitated to find the word. You narrowed your eyes at her, the corner of your mouth pulling up into a smirk.

"Jade... what are you not telling me?" You drew out. She looked down for a moment before holding her left hand up, a glittering light catching your eye from one of her fingers. Your jaw dropped, your entire body beginning to jump around in excitement. "NO WAY!" You screeched, jumping up to sit on your knees. Jade blushed, turning her hand around to admire the ring.

"Pedro popped the big one last night."

"That's incredible!" You smiled brightly, your grin stretching from ear to ear. "I'm so happy for you!"

"Thank you!" She smiled. "I'll have to tell you about how he did it when I see you. It's kind of complicated." She laughed.

"For sure! I'll be home in a couple days so we should be good!"

"Awesome!" She smiled. "So as you can see, I've been very good." She laughed. "But I MISS YOU!" She yelled. "It's feels like it's been forever!"

"I know. I'm sorry..." You groaned, rubbing your eyes. "Life's just been..."

"Crazy. I know." She nodded. "Shayne's been filling me in." You furrowed your brows.

"You talk to Shayne?"

"Yeah!" Jade smiled, rubbing the back of her neck. "He's been having a rough time lately so I DM'd him to see how he was doing."

"Yeah, that was not a fun time..." You commented, remembering how heartbroken and angry he sounded on the phone. "But we resolved that."

"Yeah, you did!" She smirked. "You guys took a big step there!" You felt your cheeks heat up. "I'm happy for you." Her voice was soft. "It's about damn time."

"I'm... I'm just really happy." You laughed. "This whole experience has been amazing and Shayne has been so supportive even through everything. I'm so lucky to have him." You shook your head. You really were lucky. Sure, there was that squabble about Chris and the press earlier that week, but in spite of that, Shayne has remained a loyal, trusting partner. It's not everyday that you find somebody like that.

"By the way, how's Chris?" Jade asked, always seeming to know what you were thinking. You huffed a bit. There hadn't been anymore tension, thank god, since your talk and you two went back to being good friends!

"He's good actually! We're going out tomorrow for my last day!"

"Oh, that's awesome! So you two are okay?"

"Yeah!" You nodded. "He apologized for everything and he seemed genuine so..." You shrugged.

"Well, good." She nodded. "I'm glad."
