"Well that was certainly eventful." You quipped, grabbing your bag and binder off of the table. Gray smiled at you, gathering her things as well.
"Chris would not stop looking at you the whole time." Gray smirked. You scoffed, waving her comment off.
"He was sitting right across from me."
"No, but more than that. He was checking you out!"
"I have a boyfriend." You informed. Gray let out a huff of disappointment. You shook your head, turning to walk towards Daniel and Jenny.
"Hey!" Gray said, catching your arm. "Can I get your number? I'm going to need a friend through this and you seem trustworthy."
"Of course!" You smiled, taking your phone out.
"Woah! We exchanging phone numbers here?" A smooth voice sounded from behind you. You looked up to Gray, wide-eyed. Her eyes switched between you and the person behind you, her expression hardly being able to contain excitement. You looked over your shoulder, your eyes needing to trail up from the person's chest to their eyes. Chris stood behind you, a big goofy smile on his face. "Hi."
"Hey." You nodded, looking back to Gray. She had finished typing her number into your phone, switching the devices between your hands and waving before walking away, leaving you two alone. You turned to face Chris fully, rocking on your heels as you stood in front of the six-foot man. Chris held his hands behind his back, maintaining eye contact with you as you stood in silence. One of his hands came up to scratch the back of his neck.
"I just wanted to come over and formally introduce myself. I'm Chris." He held out his hand.
"(y/n)." You took it, shaking his surprisingly soft hand. "You did really well today." You complimented.
'Of course he did well. He's a professional actor.' Lefty exclaimed, staring wide-eyed at Righty.
'Leave me alone! I've never done this before!' Righty defended.
Chris laughed, squeezing your hand a bit before letting go. "You too! I'm really looking forward to working with you. I'm a huge fan."
"Same here." You smiled. "That's kind of why I looked freaked out when you walked in today."
"Oh my god!" Chris sighed, hunching over and holding onto his knees. "Same here." He laughed. "I felt so creepy today because I kept catching myself looking at you. I'm actually surprised that you're still talking to me right now."
"To be completely honest I think I'm still in shock so it probably hasn't registered yet." He chuckled again, biting his bottom lip some.
"Well we're going to have to work together a lot so we should probably get past this awkward phase of our relationship." Your breath hitched, a twinge of anxiety striking your chest. Relationship. "Would you want to get dinner with me tonight? Get to know each other... Build that chemistry?"
'What the hell?' Lefty asked, thoroughly confused by the situation.
'Say yes! SAY YES!' Righty screamed, standing up from their chair and running over to the control board.
"Uh... Well- I mean..."
"If you're busy, that's totally fine! We can reschedule for another night. I just assumed that you were new to this area."
"I am."
"I can show you around." He shrugged. "This is my hometown so..."
'Couldn't hurt... We can be friends. He's not directly asking us on a date...' Righty offered.
