~One Year Before the Interview~

A lot can happen in a year. People can be born or die. They can graduate from high school or college and move far away to find their new home. They can get married and begin a life-long journey with one special person. They can get divorced, deeming the person they once adored completely irrelevant to their life. People fall in love. And they fall right back out of it in a matter of months. No matter what happens in that year, it changes a person forever. For you, this year had brought you everything you could've ever wanted in life.

Much to your parent's dismay, you went to school for a communication degree, and shortly after graduating, moved to LA. It took a lot of hard work, and quite a few nights where you fell asleep hungry, but it happened.

It started gradually. A few commercials, some guest star rolls on TV, and countless Indy-films began to trickle into your resume over the years. Each one doing its part to build your reputation until it finally happened. Your big break.

You were contacted by Jon Favreau after having a supporting role in the latest Marvel TV show. You thought being in that universe would've been cool enough, as you had been a fan of Marvel since you were a kid, but this... This was different. Your agent called you early in the morning the day Jon contacted you, telling you not to freak out, but that you may or may not be contacted by "Someone Disney" to be in a "Big Project." Expecting the mass corporation to send one of their drone bees to come and talk to you, you stayed as professional as possible when answering the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hi! Is this (y/n)?"

"Speaking. Who is this?"

"This is Jon Favreau." Your heart stopped, your breath hitching in your throat.

"Like... like 'Happy' from Iron Man, Jon Favreau?" You asked, your hands beginning to shake. His deep chuckle filled the other side of the phone.

"That's me!"

"Like the man who directed Elf, the first two Iron Mans, and The M-... The M-"

"Mandalorian?" He laughed. "Yep! All the same! How are you today?"

"I'm great! How are you?" You exclaimed, running over to sit down on your couch.

"I'm wonderful! Listen, I was just calling because I was a big fan of your work in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier."

"Oh!" You smiled to yourself. "Well thank you!"

"Of course! In fact, myself, along with a few of my buddies were all such big fans that we had a proposition for you."

"Lay it on me!" You exclaimed, making him chuckle again. You were glad they couldn't see you at that moment because you were bouncing up and down on the cushions.

"We are currently in the pre-production for season three of The Mandalorian and we want to offer you a roll in the show."

Your jaw dropped, stopping your bouncing completely. "Are you serious? Oh my gosh, yes! Yes! I'll take it! What am I playing? A droid? Stormtrooper? I'll take anything!"

"Well, actually, we had something bigger in mind for you. How would you like to be the Star Wars universe's first Grey Jedi?"

That call happened six months ago and the rest was history. Since that day, you were either training, rehearsing, shooting, or doing press for the show. You were booked. And you loved it. Every second was a total blessing to you and you couldn't be happier.
