Finale: Father and Daughter

Papa, are your feelings really connected with mom's?

Because you exist, Sarada.

Sunlight began pouring into the area as the forest was thinning. Sarada followed the dirt path as she saw her father's figure getting closer. "Papa!" she called out.

She reached out and grabbed his back, but her hand passed through.

Poof! 

It was a shadow clone. 

Sarada slid to a stop. She stood in silence for a minute to comprehend what just happened. Her eyes did not leave the spot where the shadow clone disappeared. Had she been chasing a fraud this whole time? 

Maybe it's a good thing I didn't meet him. I should have stayed with Gohan's grandfather, thought Sarada. 

She backed up into the forest.

Shing!

A kunai knife flew pass Sarada's left arm, leaving a wide cut across it. She grabbed her arm and winced at the sudden bite of pain.

"Give me a reason why I shouldn't kill you here," demanded Sasuke. 

A cold blade pressed against Sarada's neck. She slowly turned around towards her father. The black "M" across his head began shining red. 

"P-papa..." she said shakily. She was caught off guard. With one swipe of his blade, she would be dead. "It's me, S-Sarada. Your daughter." 

"Daughter?" A sharp pain throbbed in Sasuke's head. He dropped his sword. The name Sarada sounded familiar. What's going on??? 

Sasuke put his hand over his forehead as if it could ease the pain. He slowed his breathing. I must focus! All my bonds have already been cut!

Sasuke raised his sword. "I have no reason to love you. You're only an obstacle in front of my goal!" He swung the sword down. 

Sarada quickly pulled out a kunai knife and blocked the cut. Clang! 

But the impact made her drop to the ground. It was followed by a kick that pushed her aside.

She laid helpless on her back. It was just as she feared. He doesn't remember me...

"What is your goal then?" she asked her father.

"To become Hokage," stated Sasuke. He knelt down next to Sarada and revealed his rinnegan. "I'll sear away the darkness of all five villages with my own flames, and bear all the hatred in this world by myself. That is why I don't need you."

Shoom!

He activated his genjutsu.

Sarada lost her breath as an invisible force squeezed her heart. 

"Stay down if you want to live. Maybe I'll see you in the new world I create," said Sasuke. He began to walk away.

Sarada could feel herself losing consciousness. Is this what you truly want dad?

How can I become Hokage, if I can't save my father??? thought Sarada.

She screamed and forced her body to move. She punched the ground. BOOM! 

A crater formed as she regained her strength.

Majin Sasuke took a look back as he saw the girl stand up again. He was surprised to see her survive the genjutsu. "Why are you trying so hard?"

"I also have the dream of becoming Hokage," said Sarada. "As long as I exist, you will never become the lone Hokage you want to be, father. Because..."

Sasuke drew his sword and ran after Sarada. "You have no idea what it takes to become Hokage! Stop talking!!!"

Sarada ran towards Sasuke. "Because I'm proof that you're not alone."

As the father and daughter stared into each others' eyes, another genjutsu was casted.
