<<<[Chapter 21]>>>
(Recap)
"Are you still upset you didn't get to keep the baby bird," Mitch questions and I can hear humor in his voice.
"No," I reply as my face burns even hotter. If only he knew what was wrong with me, but the problem is, I don't even know what's wrong.
"Was it the sugar apples," Mitch continues worriedly, "They might have upset your stomach."
"Yes," I exclaim, "I think that's it."
"Yeah, I figured the sweetness would affect you like that if you hadn't had a sweet like that in a long time," Mitch muses as he steps around a log.
"Probably," I agree. But deep down somewhere a voice I can't silence disagrees.
You know what the problem is," she snickers, "And it's right in front of you...literally."

"Sir," a hefty assistant bursts into my door and clutches his chest.
"You better have a good explanation for not knocking you twit," I growl as I grip the table.
"The search party has returned," the man breathes heavily, "They are located on the tarmac," he twists his hands.
"What," I burst out as I jump from my chair and grab a nearby coat. I rush out the door and shove past the man who is turning red from lack of air.
"They'd better have a good explanation, although it'll do little to curb my anger," I comment to myself as I make my way down the busy halls. People scurry out of the way and mumble apologizes. Eventually I make it to the elevator as a woman carrying a stack of supplies enters as well.
"Get out," I scowl as I roughly block her way.
"Who do you think you are," the woman snaps as she tries to peer from behind her stack of supplies that covers her face, "Don't you see I'm struggling with all this heavy stuff?" My eyebrows shoot up in shock and I stare at her disbelievingly. Does she know who I am? I swiftly knock some of her supplies to the floor and expose her face. Her face twists in anger as she stares at the broken glass and supplies on the floor but the expression is immediately replaced by fear when she looks up into my face.
"Oh sir, I'm so sorry," she gushes as she twists her hands in fright, "I didn't know it was you."
"Don't let it happen again," I speak through clenched teeth, "And clean this mess up," I gesture to the fallen things around us.
"Certainly sir," she whispers as she drops to her knees and starts cleaning. At that moment the elevator opens and I quickly step in. Soon the heavy metal doors close behind me and I let out a ragged breath. When I see that son of a gun I'll strangle him on the spot. I told him to return in a day, he comes back in nearly two weeks? I slam my fist into the metal wall and leave an indent. Defiance is something I strongly dislike.

Out at the tarmac the man and his crew stand nervously near a helicopter. The one I hired to take over the party stands as he frantically paces back and forth. Guards stand around them daring them to try and escape. I zero in on my prey and narrow my eyes on the man in charge.
