{Recap}
"Huh," I roll onto my side again in interest.
"He said they would probably be more than willing to take us to the mainland," Mitch grins happily at me. My heart rate speeds up as the realization hits me.
"We're going home," I say breathlessly as my eyes begin to water.
"Yes tiger," Mitch rolls on his side and whispers, "We're going home." Tears of happiness begin to fall and my body is wracked with sobs.
"I know," Mitch pulls me to him and rubs my back, "It's a lot to take in."
"I'm happy," I give him a watery smile, "Surprised...but I just realized something."
"And what is that," Mitch softly smooth's my hair.
"Don't get me wrong...I do miss my mom and friends but..." I continue as I chew my lip.
"Just say it Kate," Mitch laughs as he looks into my eyes.
"Anywhere with I'm with you is home," I snuggle into his chest.

"So how was our first date," Mitch carries me across the field. My legs are wrapped securely around him and our faces are nearly touching. In the background an impending sunset graces the sky and soon it will be night.
"It was perfect," I sigh as I throw my arms around his neck.
"I'm glad," Mitch smiles down at me, "But it's not over yet."
"Huh," I wrinkle my brows.
"Close your eyes," he says as he steps into the darkening woods.
"Why," I complain as I my eyes flutter shut.
"Patience," Mitch chuckles as he walks amongst the trees. I mumble to myself about how annoying he can be as Mitch paces along.
"Ok open your eyes," he speaks finally. My eyes snap open and I stare at glowing tiny balls of fire around me.
"Fireflies," I squeal as my mouth drops open. A bug zips by and thinking it would be a great idea to explore the little cave flies strait into my mouth. My mouth clamps shut in shock and a crunch as well as an awful after taste fills my mouth.
"Ugh," I shriek and spit out the nasty thing.
"Ack," Mitch looks down at his chest, "You know I just love it when people spit dead bugs on me."
"Sorry," I wince as I stare at the spot on his shirt, "I'll get a leaf to scoop it off," I blush as I wriggle out of his arms. Mitch pretends to gag at my description and shakes his head.
"I'll just take the shirt off," he grabs the bottom of his shirt and begins to pull it over his head. I try not to stare at his abs but of course I'm a girl. I alternate between boring my eyes into the ground and sneaking glances at the chiseled body in front of me. Eventually I begin to feel like a creep so I turn around to avoid any further temptation and gaze at the fireflies surrounding us. Of course, this time my mouth is closed.
"You ok," Mitch wraps an arm around me and looks down at my face.
"Ye-ah," I keep my gaze straight ahead and focus on a firefly passing by.
"They remind me of stars," Mitch murmurs.
"Stars on earth," I agree with a smile as I look up at him, "This was the best date I've been on," I whisper as our gazes lock.
