(Recap)

"Tiger," he breathes heavily as he cradles me.

"Yeah," I whisper back as a beautifully colored bird flits past bursting with song. However it's beauty is pretty much lost on me, because all I can see are mysterious grey orbs placed on a drop dead handsome face.

"I have a question," Mitch grins, the action softly pulling the corners of his lips up.

"Uh huh," I wrinkle my brows as I trail my fingers along his perfectly shaped cheekbones.

"Will you be my girlfriend," he smiles down at me as he slowly takes my chin and lifts it up to him.

"Huh," I ask breathlessly as I stare at him in confusion. Mitch swallows as he holds me at an arms length to stare at my face.

"Will you be my girlfriend," he repeats softly as he bites his bottom lip. I shut my eyes savoring the sound of his voice asking the question. As it replays in my head I realize how much I actually wanted this to happen. To be his. A gentle smile spreads across my face as I open my eyes and stare into his.

"I-." Suddenly my voice is cut off as a strong breeze rips through the trees. It blows so hard that the branches all bend to it's power. My hair whips around my face wildly and I stare at Mitch in terror. The soft sound of birds around us immediately erupts into screeching and they begin to take flight off the branches into the air to escape.

"What's going on," I yell over the loud noise. It sounds like a buzzing bee but ten times louder. The whirring clamor fills my ears and to shut out the awful noise I cup my hands over my ears. Unexpectedly a shadow passes over us from the sky above and I immediately look up as the black machine passes.

"It's a helicopter," Mitch yells back to me over the noise as he slides down the branch we were seated on. He quickly shimmy's down to the ground and stands beneath the tree. His figure is considerably smaller and I gulp when I realize the distance between us. He cups his hands around his mouth and shouts something up to me.

"What," I holler back, "I can't hear you." Mitch gestures with his arms that he wants me to jump down to him. The obnoxious helicopter noise leaves as it lands somewhere else on the island and I can finally hear Mitch.

"Jump down," Mitch calls up to me.

"Are you crazy Mitch," I sputter as my eyes widen, "It's too far."

"I'll catch you," he answers as he holds his hands up, "Trust me."

"I'm scared," I wrap my arms around myself for comfort.

"Kate do you trust me," Mitch asks as he places his hands on his hips. When I don't respond he pulls his brows together.

"Have I ever let you down," he demands slightly annoyed.

"Yes," I pipe up, "When you threw me off a waterfall, threw me into the water, tackled me, must I continue."

"I wasn't letting you down," Mitch scoffs as he wipes his forehead, "I was joking around."
