"Wake me up for the second watch," he chuckles softly.

"Definitely," Eric laughs quietly as he glances at Kasey who's already out cold. Mitch leans back against the wall next to me and looks around.

"They really went through hell today," he stares at the sleeping figures, "I can't wait till we can get them out of here."

"Mmm," I respond distantly as my eyes shutter closed.

"Night tiger," Mitch laughs when he glances at me, "Tomorrow we're leaving," he sighs as he wraps an arm around me and rests his head on mine. I hope, I think to myself before I lose consciousness.

Before you read, I strongly suggest you play the song for this last chapter (theres a place that says play music, play it then lol) I think it helps add something to the chapter.

"Kate," someone shakes me gently, "It's time to get up." I wake up with a start and look around wildly. My eyes land on Mitch who looks down at me with an amused smile.

"We have to wake up the kids," he brushes my hair back from my face, "The boat comes soon."

"Huh," I answer completely disoriented.

"We have to wake up the kids Kate," Mitch laughs and repeats himself. Finally gathering my scattered brain I sit up and open my eyes fully, wincing when the full brightness of the sun fills them.

"Why is it so late," I shade my eyes and give Mitch a questioning glance.

"We decided not to wake you guys up until it was almost time to go," Mitch explains as he stands up to his feet, "Everyone was really tired and staying in here avoids the chance of running into Verisal's men."

"Oh," I nod in understanding as I brush my hair back and stand up as well. Carefully, I make my way over to the children sleeping against the wall and tap their shoulders lightly.

"Yes," a little one's eyes peel open.

"We have to go," I smile brightly and move her blonde hair out of her eyes.

"I'm tired still," she complains and shifts against the wall.

"I know," my smile droops slightly, "But we still have to get up."

"Just think," an awake Julie leans over my shoulder, "Soon we'll be on a big boat. Have you been on a boat before," Julie asks her.

"Nuh uh," the little one shakes her head in reply.

"Well soon we'll be on one," Jule grins widely, "But we have to hurry."

"Ok," the child pops up and shakes her companion, "Wake up George, we're going on a boat."

"How'd you do that," I look up at Julie in wonder and furrow my eyebrows.

"Magic," she wiggles her fingers secretively.

"Right," I snort as I move to wake up the next person.

After waking up everyone, the group shifts out of the cave into the humid atmosphere. In my arms a hold Daisy, who begged to be held. I think the whole escaping thing is beginning to take it's toll on her. The child who used to smile endlessly holds a straight expression that shows just how much this whole thing has affected her. Hopefully, when we get off this island the kids will be able to return to life as normal and forget this awful experience.
