{Recap}
"No tiger," Mitch scoots closer to me, "Reach in my pocket and pull out a small metal hook please." I comply as I dig in his pocket and pull out a metal hook that resembles a bobby pin. Mitch sighs in relief once he sees the pin and holds his handcuffed hands out to me by turning around.
"Ok now shove the hook into the cuffs," Mitch explains slowly as I follow his directions, "And twist," the handcuffs pop open and Mitch rubs his freed wrists.
"See what happens when you calm down," I hear the comfort in his voice.
"Yes," I give a small smile. Mitch sighs as he rubs his wrists and settles against the truck wall.
"If he touches you," Mitch mutters angrily as he clenches his fists.

Eventually the darkness and heat of the back of the truck becomes stifling and sweat pours down my face in rivers. Mitch isn’t fairing much better as we both become sweaty and sticky. After a few more hours my throat begins to close up and my tongue becomes dry. Water fills my daydreams and I fantasize about the clear liquid that we are denied.
“Do you think they’ll give us water,” I croak to Mitch barely being able to speak due to my parched throat.
“Just hold on,” Mitch rubs my back tiredly, “I think we’re almost there.”
“Ok,” I reply in a whisper as I lean back against the wall.
About fifteen minutes later the truck shuttles to a stop and I hear the doors to the front of the automobile open. Part of me is happy they are coming because maybe they’ll give us water, the other half is frozen with fear. The locks rattle to the rear door and then they swing open. Light floods the compartment and I wince as I cover my eyes that have become used to the dark.
“It’s about time,” Mitch comments as Darrin hops into the cubicle. Darrin makes his way over to us and stares in surprise when he sees Mitch’s freed hands. Before he even has a chance to move Mitch sweeps his foot across the floor knocking Darrin’s legs and causing him to fall onto the hard metal floor. Darrin groans in pain and makes no effort to move.
“Nice try O’Conner,” Alric laughs as he moves in front of the doors and points a gun at us, “I’ll admit...I’m impressed, it’s a shame you’ll regret that later.”
“I could care less,” Mitch snorts as he moves between me and Alric, “Why don’t you just be a good boy for daddy and finish what you’re supposed to be doing instead of entertaining us with your threats,” he crosses his arms and stands up. Alric’s eyes flash angrily as his expression darkens.
“Get out of the truck,” he growls as he gestures for us to move. Mitch quickly grabs my hand and squeezes it to reassure me as he pulls us out of the car. We both step out onto a concrete pavement surrounded by a barbed wire fence. The fence is patrolled by guards carefully wielding machine guns from towers above.
“Take them out of my sight,” Alric snaps at five guards standing in the courtyard. They quickly make their way over to us and roughly grab our limbs as they manhandle us toward the building in front of us. Mitch holds tightly to my hand despite how they try to pull us apart. Eventually they give up and drag us both into the building.
