{Recap}
"Thank you," Mitch thanks the man, "I guess we accept." He throws his arms around my shoulders, "Right wifey."
"We aren't married," I narrow my eyes at Mitch and turn the man, "And thank you for your gracious offer...it would be nice to go to someplace where we could be safe."
"No problem," the man smiles kindly, "I'm Chief Zyla," he shakes my hand.
"I'm Kate," I reply with a smile.
"Mitch," Mitch says once the man turns to him.
"We would be honored to have such heroes as you two," the man begins to walk, "Follow me." We begin to walk after him into the foliage and follow a makeshift path that his people must have created. As we walk along Mitch slides his arms from around my shoulders to around my waist and pulls me close.
"I told you we'd be just fine," he murmurs in my ear as he softly kisses my temple.

After walking for about an hour and stopping a couple of times for rest breaks we spot smoke rising in the distance. As we come closer a town of huts comes into view and I stare in awe. Children run amongst the buildings laughing while women converse together while holding their babies or baskets of food. There are few men, except for a few elderly ones, and I surmise that the others must be working.
"Welcome to my village," Chief Zyla nods as we enter amongst all the huts. A huge smile spreads across my face as I stare at the children running around.
"They remind me of my little cousin Sammy," I say to Mitch as we hold hands. Mitch smiles back down at me as Zyla leads us to an elderly woman sitting in front of her hut sorting peas. He kisses her on the cheek and she playfully smacks him away, I guess they are married.
"I brought guests my dear," Zyla chuckles as he gestures to us.
"Guests," she repeats as she lifts her eyes and stares at us in surprise.
"Hi," I say shyly. Mitch grins at her in his friendly way and a huge smile spreads across her face.
"Zyla why didn't you tell me," she shoves the basket of peas out of her lap and stands up, "Hello I'm Helda," she greets us eagerly.
"I'm Mitch," he flashes a brilliant smile and shakes her hand.
"My such a handsome gentleman," Helda laughs as she turns to me.
"Oh don't build up his ego," I playfully respond, "I'm Kate," she envelopes me in a hug. My mouth drops open in surprise but I quickly recover and hug her back.
"And such a beautiful lady," Helda smiles at me in a motherly way, "You two will make such gorgeous babies." I immediately choke on my saliva and Mitch chuckles softly.
"Helda," Zyla clucks his tongue at her and shakes his head.
"What," Helda crosses her arms and purses her lips, "Have I said something wrong?"
"We aren't married," I whisper as my cheeks redden.
"Oh," Helda laughs loudly, "You poor dear...no need to be so embarrassed. Someday you will have children, perhaps together." She claps her hands approving the match.
