Jeongin hyunjin and jisung sat down at a lunch table with their trays of food.

"It's only the first day and I can tell that I'm going to fail algebra," Jeongin whined the moment he sat down.

The lunch room around them was loud and bustling with kids excited to be sitting back with their friends. Their friend group was probably the quietest since they were only really ever loud when their whole friend group was together.

"Chan is good at math maybe you can ask him," Hyunjin said as he picked up a French fry and dipped it in ketchup.

"I can figure it out it just seems really difficult already.." The boy pouted softly.

The conversation carried on until they both noticed that jisung hadn't really spoken all day. They didn't know how to ask without prying so jeongin just went for it.

"Sungie are you okay?" He asked as he scooted down the bench a bit to talk to his best friend.

Said boy looked up from his tray that seemed to keep him entertained and nodded almost immediately.

"Of course I'm okay why wouldn't I be?"

For a moment those words made jeongin freeze. They were the same ones that chan had said to him days before but he couldn't help but feel like they were a lie.

"You promise?" He asked again "you can talk to us if something is bothering you"

"I'm okay, jeongin I promise" The boy linked his pinky with jeongins and squeezed it tight for a moment before letting go to show that he was serious.

Jisung looked down as his phone buzzed beside him with a text from minho.

We need to tell jeongin

Minho had been sitting outside in his car when he dropped hyunjin and jisung off for school when Chan pulled up. He'd seen everything and jisung and him had been talking about it all day since it was affecting their moods.

They were worried for their friend and it made them feel so terrible for keeping it from him.

And break him again?

When all that shit happened
a few months ago it was a lot
harder on him when we didn't
prepare him. It would be pretty
shitty of us not to tell him this

Fifteen minutes later the boys began bidding their goodbyes and headed to class with jeongin heading in the opposite direction as them.

Hyunjin was going on and on about how he wished he had a boyfriend again until jisung cut him off.

"I think chan-hyung might be cheating on jeongin.."

The tall boy immediately went quiet and looked over at his friend.

"How so?" He asked with his eyebrows quirked upwards.

"I saw a hickey on his collarbone when he came over for breakfast to see jeongin a few days ago,"

"But jeongin and Chan always give each other hickies. Have you seen that kid sometimes when he wakes up?"

"Thats what Minho said too but jeongin always talks to me when they have sex.. They haven't had sex in more than a week and there's no possible way that the hickey would've been that dark," Jisung could feel his hear speeding up upon repeating those words and seeing hyunjins expression change from confused to upset.

"Besides, he was in the car with a girl this morning.. She looked really familiar but I can't remember where I've seen her.."

Hyunjin was quiet for a moment before he sighed.

"I wouldn't put it past him.. I mean yeah Chan has changed from when we were a thing but jeongin and him aren't even official. You could call them fuck buddies just like we were since they don't have a label because that's really all they're doing is having sex sometimes and barely ever see each other outside of that,"

Hyunjin bit some dry skin on his lip and continued after a moment.

"When we were together and I was asking him why we never saw each other outside of the bedroom and when my parents wanted us together he told me that he was just busy and he had things to do.. And when I would ask him why we weren't official he would say because he wanted it to be special. He wasn't strapped down by a lable so he thought it was okay to do whatever he wanted."

They were both quiet as they stood outside their classroom.

"Should we tell him?" Jisung asked after he processed everything for a moment.

"Maybe we should wait until we can get some solid evidence so it's not like we just barged into their relationship, you know?"

Jisung nodded and sighed

"I'll talk to minho and come up with a plan," He said after a moment.

They both walked into their classroom and sat down.

Jisung felt sick to his stomach the more he thought about it. He just hoped that they were wrong because he couldn't stand seeing jeongin so sad. Last time, it really pained him to see his best friend like that.

He just really, truly hoped that they were wrong about everything.
