Hyunjin lunged after the frog, hitting the ground as it hopped away and behind jisungs dresser.

"Why the hell did you even bring this frog into the house in the first place?" Chan asked the boy and was now rather annoyed at the fact that jisung was making him help.

"I was trying to scare everyone and jisung threw stuffed animals at me and I tripped. It wouldn't have gotten away if he wouldn't have thrown them." Hyunjin said laying on his stomach to look under the dresser.

"You should just get it out by yourself then," the black haired boy said with an eye roll.

"Well technically we're supposed to be working out our differences to you have to help,"

"No I dont. Just because jisung said so doesn't mean I have to"

"Close the door!" Hyunjin called as Chan stood by it. The older shut the door as he stood, waiting for the frog to make a move towards it.

"You seem to think you don't have to do a lot of things," hyunjin rolled his eyes as he made a small advancement towards the frog

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Oh let me think," hyunjin said kind of snidely "maybe the way you leave jeongin all the time or the way you show up to my house drunk almost every other night and and not to mention lara-"

"Well if you think you know so much then tell jeongin," Chan said with gritted teeth "he trusts me and won't believe a bitch like you. I didn't cheat on him so get you nose back where it belongs,"

"Really?" Hyunjin asked "I thought you did cheat on him,"

"No the fuck I did not!" Chan said back defensively and went to grab the frog as it hopped past him but it slipped through his fingers.

"Whatever just help me get the fucking frog!" Hyunjin cried out in anger as the frog hopped away again.

"I thought we were past this whole fighting thing. Were supposed to be friends, hyunjin"

Chan crouched down on the floor as he looked under the bed.

"We were.. But I guess some things are better said than done,"

Hyunjin could feel himself getting worked up by this whole conversation. He was sad and maybe a bit resentful towards Chan. Possibly even regretful for anything he gave him. He didn't like the fact that they were ever something and hoped Chan felt the same way. But he knew they had a difficult past and was hoping that maybe they could have a better future together as friends rather than enemies.

Though he thought about them a lot as a couple that didn't mean he wanted Chan back at all. It just meant he liked living within memories of happy times. He hated the person the other was now and almost felt bad that jeongin had to deal with that just like he did. He didn't want to get in the middle of Chan and jeongin relationship but it was hard when most people asked him for advice on the boy. Though it may seem like it he didn't want to steal Chan from jeongin either. He needed some type of closure, especially dealing with the seungmin situation alone.

"Well then just do it and stop talking about it," Chan said with another eye roll as he reached under to grab the frog.

As Chan was bent over while looking under the bed, his phone slipped from his pocket. Just as he reached for it to get it out of the way hyunjin did too. Their fingers brushed and they both scoffed, hyunjin verbally gagging at how he would've swooned over something like that long ago.

Chan slid his phone across the floor away from him and heard it hit somewhere.

Hyunjin ignored it remembering his jisung and Minho conversation in the car the other day about their suspicions of him cheating. Curiosity got the better of him as he scooted across the floor just as the phone dinged.

He turned the screen on and looked at the message:

Lara:                                                               13 seconds ago

You're still coming over tonight right?

Hyunjin was trying to decipher what that could mean as he heard the phone ding again in his hand. As he tried to pull down on the notification, Chan jumped from underneath the bed, startling him and making him accidentally swipe the notification away.

"Fuck!" Chan cursed as he had just back when the frog jumped at him and had smacked his head on the wooden frame.

"Did you get it?" Hyunjin asked as he turned off the screen, ignoring the heavy feeling in his stomach.

"No," Chan said as he came out from under the bed feeling angry "I didnt,"

Hyunjin sighed, feeling angry that this was so difficult

"Let's take a break then," the boy said as he slumped back against the broken closet doors.

Chan nodded and reached for his phone and hyunjin felt his stomach drop.

"Didn't my phone go off?" He asked confused since he saw no notifications.

"I don't think so," hyunjin lied.

The older opened his phone and saw the messages from Lara that were unread but not in his notifications.

"Why'd you look at my phone?" Chan asked angrily as he tossed it to the side, advancing on hyunjin as the boy shrunk

"I didnt," he said trying to make himself not seem afraid.

Chan placed both of his hands on either side of hyunjins head, glaring down at him as the boy below him could feel the anger radiating from his body.

"If you ever invade my fucking privacy again-,"

The door opened behind them and Minhos voice came through.

"I think I left it in-" he froze "what the fuck did I just walk in on?"

The position looked bad especially since they had the door closed.
