The next day, Chan came back to jeongins house upon request of the younger.
Knocking on the door, he felt nervous almost nauseous at the thought of what was about to happen. He figured that the boy was going to tell him he didn't want to see him anymore and that scared him more than anything.
Gently, Chan knocked on the door hearing footsteps immediately run and open the door revealing a smiley jeongin.
"Hurry!" Jeongin grabbed his hand and pulled him in the door as Chan chuckled at the drastic change from yesterday's attitude.
"Why'd you call me over?"
Jeongin stopped upon those words, biting his lip nervously before turning around.
"If you don't want to be here, you can go-"
"No, no I just thought you were mad at me is all," Chan looked down at their still interlocked fingers and smiled softly.
"That's yesterday's news," Jeongin waved his hand in the air.
"And what's today's?"
"Scary movies~" He wiggled his fingers in the air and made his voice sound like the average ghost in kids shows.
Chan chuckled and followed jeongin in to the living room where several snacks that he had to have hidden from his parents were on the coffee table.
"Hurry and sit while I go get some blankets!"
The brunette ran up the stairs tripping up a few since he was so excited. He could hear his little feet running across the carpeted floor and coming back to the stairs.
"Hyung, I could only find one so I guess we're sharing!" He came back down with a big blanket and several different pillows. Since there was so many of them he dropped a few and almost tripped on those as well letting out little yelps until he made it to the couch and flopped letting them all go and rolling off.
"Isn't this way too much?" Chan asked while picking up the pillows that had fallen.
"Um, no.. We can lay on them and make the couch more comfortable or I can hit you with it if you decide to scare me," He said it like it was the most obvious thing ever and giggled as he crawled into Chans lap.
"What one do you want to watch?"
"Train to Busan is good..."
"Not scary enough... Let's watch the ring and we can put subtitles on. Does that sound good?"
Chan marvelled at how jeongin didn't find train to Busan scary, he had nightmares after Minho left and he slept alone.
"Yeah, let's do that"
"Ohhh is channie scared?" Jeongin poked out his bottom lip and grabbed Chans cheeks as the introduction to the movie played.
"No, I'm not. If anything you'll be scared."
"As if," Jeongin rolled his eyes "I watch scary movies all the time."
Liesss
Jeongin was probably the biggest pussy of them all, we already knew that though. He couldn't even sleep in his bedroom with out some type of light and slept in his parents bed until he was six because he was afraid of gorillas swimming across the ocean and eating him.
They watched the movie quietly, jeongin pulling the blanket over them and snuggling into Chans chest.
The slightest jump scares made jeongin scream out. When the music would get intense he would pull the blanket over his head and hide until it went away. It was safe to say that Chan knew he was all bark but no bite.
"What happened to Mr. I watch scary movies all the time?" The blonde asked after a jump scare where both him and jeongin jumped.
"He's in hibernation, don't expect him for another thirty minutes until the movie's over."
And that's exactly how it was, jeongin stayed in the blanket for a few more minutes until chan paused it. The brunette waited for a few seconds before coming out of the blanket and looking up at the blonde.
"Why'd you stop it?"
"I think we should talk.."
Jeongin remembered from ever chick flick he'd ever seen that this was when everything ended. This was where chan broke up with him.
"A-about what?"
"I lied to you.. About where I was the other night.."
Jeongin crawled off of chans lap and sat on the couch, feeling hurt again.
"Then where were you?"
Chan looked down at his fingers and sighed. The fact that he'd made it worse for himself by lying again made everything so much worse.
"I went out drinking... With Lara and her friends,"
Was chan going to say anything about possibly fucking her? Hell no. He wouldn't ever tell jeongin unless his life depended on it.
"You did wh- I thought you were staying away from alcohol after what happened after your parents-"
"It just happened, okay?" It was rather rude coming from his mouth, the sharp tone making jeongin flinch "I'm sorry.. I shouldn't have snapped at you.."
"What happened to coming to me? What happened to talking to me?" Jeongin was hurt, he had every right to be hurt.
"You can't fix this jeongin.."
"But you're not even letting me try to, you're just saying j cant-"
"Jeongin, stop. Don't try to fix it because you'll just make it worse,"
"So you don't trust me enough to help you when you're feeling hurt?"
"You just can't fix this one, jeongin! You don't tell me when you're hurt, you never did! When we stopped seeing each other, you just cried about it, you never let me in to fix it!"
"You played me! You made a bet to take my virginity but I thought we were past this?!" It was all yelling now, their voices raised in argument "well at least I thought we we're past this but leave it to you to bring up old fights, what's next are you going to cheat on me?"
Chan stayed quiet for a moment his argument faltering before he softened and moved closer to jeongin, putting his arms around him.
"Why do we keep fighting..?" Jeongin asked softly putting his arms around Chan in return "we're supposed to be happy together..."
"We're just going through some stuff... It will be okay, I promise, baby"
It wasn't just a promise for their arguing.
It was a promise that Chan would do better at keeping his own promises.
Even if that meant fighting through hell to fight past addictions...
