Chan and jeongin stood in the line to the store after picking out Chan's surprise as well.
"We're going to do it at my house so your parents won't actually be pissed at you for staining their bathtub okay?"
The younger looked down at the various things chan had in his hands ranging from hair bleach to their hair dye. Oddly enough jeongin was nervous for this. He wondered if he would miss his brunette hair or if he would hate the blue color that they picked.
"Okay, hyung.. Do you think the color will look good on me or should we do a more subtle color? I mean, I don't want to look like a Smurf.."
"Baby, don't freak out it will turn out good okay?" Chan placed a calming kiss on the boys forehead and moved up the line as he set his things on the conveyor belt.
The cashier began scanning their items as jeongin stood close to the blonde. After a few moments of beeping from the register in front of them they man told them their total and chan brought out some cash and paid.
"Channie that's a lot of money,"
"Shh it's fine" said boy flashed a smile at the younger and grabbed their bags with one hand and jeongins hand with the other "come on"
Jeongin followed after the other as he nervously looked down at the bags. He had school the next day, he couldn't afford to look horrible. Not that he had anyone to impress but he was human and he cared what people thought about him.
"We will do yours first just to get it out of the way since we have to bleach it and stuff,"
The boys got in the car and began the short drive to Chan's house.
"Is it going to hurt?" Jeongin asked as he looked at the different products they had gathered.
"It shouldn't," the boy reached over and held jeongins hand "you're going to look really good so stop worrying"
"Is it that obvious that I'm nervous?" The brunette asked as he tried to ease the worried look on his face.
"Yes, now just relax. I won't let anything go wrong"
Soon enough, they pulled into Chan's drive way and climbed out of the car as they grabbed the bags. They began bringing them inside and setting them on the counter.
"Let's do yours first since it will take longer"
Chan grabbed the bags and lead jeongin to the bathroom. The younger immediately jumped up on the counter and sat there as he waited for chan to go over the instructions. he had read them many times before but he really didn't want to ruin jeongins hair.
It took the older a few moments as he mixed the bleach properly and began applying it to the boys hair.
"What am I going to tell my parents when I come home looking like a blueberry?" He asked to distract himself from the slight sting of the bleach on his scalp. Chan had explained a while back that when they did it he shouldn't wash his hair but since it was a surprise jeongin didn't know not to do it.
"Maybe just tell them the truth," the older said as he focused "there's no sense in lying when you can't hide it forever"
"Right.."
The bleach was fully applied to the boys hair and Chan began with his own, applying the color he'd chosen as directed. it didn't take long before both sat there waiting for the process to finish.
"This is kind of fun.. Do you think I'll look hot hyung?" Jeongin asked, kicking his legs excitedly
"I think you will, angel" chan placed a quick kiss on the youngers cheek and pulled out his phone as it vibrated in his pocket.
