"How about I call in tonight and just spend the night with you instead?" Chan whispered softly to the boy who was still cuddled next to him in silence.

Jeongin looked up with hopeful eyes

"Really?"

"Yeah, Lara already said that they had most of their workers on shift tonight and they close early.. Besides I miss you a lot,"

"But what if they get mad since you just started, hyung?"

"They won't, baby. They won't need me there,"

Jeongin broke into a big braced smile and nodded excitedly.

"You're staying the whole night?"

"Well I'm not just going to spend half of it, silly" gently chan cupped jeongins face and leaned in, capturing his lips between his own and letting them slip apart with a small kissy noise.

"Let me call in and then I'll take you out for a surprise okay?"

Jeongin nodded now super excited for what chan had in store for him. He watched as the blonde got up and took out his phone and stepped into the kitchen as his phone rang.

"... Hey it's chan. I can't come in tonight I'm spending the night with jeongin," he said softly followed by several "yeahs"

As the brunette watched the other he found it hard to even think about looking away. At the way he leaned over the counter with one foot bent and the other straight. How his shirt hung against his muscular frame in the back and loose in the front. It made jeongin miss this so much. They days where they were always together.

Chan walked back over to the boy and grabbed his hands so gently as he pulled him up from the couch.

"Get your shoes on and we'll go," he said with a genuine smile.

"You don't have to go in for reals?" Jeongin didn't know why it was so hard for him to grasp that Chan was staying the night with him.

"no I dont!" Chan giggled a bit and dragged jeongin to the door "hurry! We don't have much time!"

Jeongin giggled as well since he'd always found the olders laughter to be contagious and got his shoes on. The blonde got his shoes on as well and grabbed jeongins hand when he stood.

"Ready?"

"Yeah but where are we going?" The brunette asked as he jumped up and down while looking at the other.

"It's a surprise!" The older walked the two of them out the door and to his car that was parked there.

Chan followed jeongin to the passenger side and opened the for the boy and waited until he climbed in to close it again. Once the door was closed he ran over to his side of the car frantic like a little kid all while he could hear jeongins giggles from inside the car. He climbed in while jeongin was still laughing and looked over at him.

"What are you so giggly for?" Chan asked, a smile spreading to his face almost instantaneously.

The brunettes laughing slowly died down but their smiles never left their faces as the two looked at each other.

"You just make me happy, hyung.."

That small whisper, those six words almost made Chan cry on the spot. For things he'd never told anyone that happened to him, that he did by his own free will. Ones that couldn't be taken back or changed... His past and his present.

The blonde cleared his throat and looked away as he put his car in reverse and backed out of the driveway. Jeongin didn't note much of those behavior since he just figured Chan was excited to get to the surprise. In that case, he was as well

"The surprise isn't huge but I know it's something you've wanted and since I'm here to help you, can do it,"

Jeongin hummed excitedly and looked out the window as they drove. His expression turned a bit more confused when they turned into a grocery store parking lot.

"Are we getting snacks before we go?" Jeongin asked as he remembered they did the same thing when they went on their date to watch the stars.

"No~" Chan unbuckled his seatbelt after parking the car "come on, we should hurry before they close"

Jeongin unbuckled his seatbelt as well and climbed out of the car. They two met up in front of it and began walking as Chan grabbed the others hand not caring about any stares they would get. Their town was generally pretty good about not staring at untraditional couples. However there were some church goers who would say something to you if they did see but Chan was there to set things straight if anyone were to mess with his baby.

The two boys walked through the automatic doors of the grocery store hand in hand and began walking through isles as the older tried to find what he was looking for.

Jeongin followed him like a little kid with his parent, trailing around with him hand in hand and touching random things he thought was cool on the way.

"Hyung?"

"Yes?" The blonde turned to the shorter and softer boy beside him

"Did you just bring me along so you could grocery shop and say it was a surprise?"

"Nooo I did not," he began walking again "I'm trying to find where I hid your surprise,"

They walked down the toilet paper and paper towel isle and Chan began looking on the lower shelves. Jeongin looked around, feeling like they were doing something bad since some people who walked by began looking at them weirdly.

"Channie," he nudged the boys butt which his shin and placed his hand on his back "people are looking at us,"

"Ah, I found it!" Chan just about crawled halfway into the shelving and grabbed what he was looking for that was stuffed in the back. Slowly he crawled back out and stood with it behind his back

"You ready for your surprise?" The blonde asked, not caring if people were staring.

Jeongin quirked and eyebrow and looked around at the people who were moving along with their shopping.

"Sure!" He said and turned with a small jump

Chan took the surprise from behind his back with a big smile on his face and jeongins eyes lit up.

"My parents are going to murder me!" The boy said with a mischievous smile on his face "let's do it! Thank you channie!"
