Jeongin always wondered how Chan could suspend time with only his eyes, lips or voice. How he could simply look at him and minutes would stop. It seemed impossible but somehow Chan always seemed to be able to do it with simple actions anyone was capable of.
Even then, as Chan kissed him time was gone. There were no more clocks ticking in the background, no more second being counted and documented, no more hours of their lives trickling away by minutes and seconds and days.
It was just them again like they used to be. Sharing each other's company and space. A space that used to be safe and held nothing but love and acceptance and so many emotions neither boy seemed to be able to put a name to.
And it made jeongin wonder how in mere months of knowing Chan, he let them go so fast. How he let them slip through his fingertips like the softest sand on the prettiest beach on the world.
That beach had now reached colder seasons. Day by day as it progressed getting uglier and sadder looking. And eventually it became the unhappy place it was now. Where the sea was now angry and cold. Where the sand was dirty and tainted by trash and lies about how pretty it truly was. Because the truth was, nothing stayed pretty forever and that was something jeongin was slowly realizing in his life.
Nothing was ever beautiful forever
Much like this kiss.
Hyunjin and changbin came running into the kitchen, stopping in their tracks as they saw the two kissing.
"Oh my god!" changbin said and gasped as he immediately turned around when jisung stood alerted, minho following suit.
Jeongin pulled away quickly at the voice and looked over at his friends who were now standing in the entryway to the kitchen. By then, Chan had straightened up and acted as if nothing happened.
"Were they just-" jisung began but was quickly cut off by hyunjin whi blurted
"About to fuck? Yes,"
Changbin laughed and moved in front of hyunjin as he drew his arms around him in a back hug.
"We were not!" Jeongin claimed and stood, wavering even as he stood still. He wasn't used to the way alcohol affected his body at all. The waves of nausea finally hitting him as he looked around with a pale face. The sudden movement stirring the alcohol digesting in his stomach.
"Yeah..he's gonna vomit," hyunjin said and guided changbin out of the room as they walked away giggling and whispering about how Chan and jeongin were kissing.
Jisung stepped forwards and grabbed jeongins hand
"come on, love," he said softly and began guiding his best friend to the bathroom.
"Sungie I'm okay," he said softly and tried to pull away
"Nope I'm not going to have you throwing up on my floor because that's gross," jisung said softly and opened the door to the bathroom and flipped the light on.
Jeongin walked inside and jisung closed the door behind him. As soon as jeongin saw the toilet he felt the puke bubble up in his throat and knelt down as he began to throw everything up.
It was when everything was hitting him. The fact that he had just kissed the person who ruined everything. The one who had who had made his life so perfect and then ruined it with one of the biggest lies.
It didn't take long for jeongin to throw up everything in his stomach and throw everything he felt for Chan in right with it. Jisung was there rubbing his back gently as he waited it out. As if to say that he was okay but he wasn't.
