Chapter 15

We three stood by the door, and as I looked at my partners I saw rage, fear, and even confusion rolled into one emotional ball all over their faces. Confusing, right? That sounded crazy even to me...

"We must be prepared," Aurora choked out. "That means don't be taken aback by a... Loved one." She concentrated intently on the black door that Ursula lay behind. Philip might be there, and I was willing to bet Aladdin was hoping Jasmine would be behind this chunk of wood.

"Are we okay?" I whispered. "No." Aladdin immediately responded, and even I knew we were all very un prepared for this fight. Even Aladdin wasn't that much of a help.

After all, being cunning and quick might get you far, but not too far now that these villains knew our tricks. The surge of confidence that had flooded over me now washed away, and I felt small and useless.

We could really use a knight in shining armor! But alas, the other heroes were nowhere to be found, they were all very much lost, and off the grid. It was a pity since we could really use their help, especially now.

"We have nothing to fight with..." Aladdin stated blankly, his eyes wide open with fear. I can relate. Aurora smiled devilishly. Wait what? Aurora. Smiled. DEVILISHLY.

"We have feet and hands for a reason right?" And before anyone could stop her, she went ahead and kicked the door open, her skirt riding up as she extended her leg, but it looked like she didn't care at all.

I watched in horror as the time seemed to stop. I could make out every splinter as the black wood cracked backward, little pieces of wood flying everywhere. The door made a thud sound that reverberated all over as it fell over.

Aurora rushed in, and Aladdin managed to grab her hand, and she thrashed around, trying to go ahead. "Aladdin!" She tried to escape, but he kept a firm grip, and I managed to step up and hold her other arm.

"Ariel! We need to go!" Aurora cried our, but I didn't budge. "Together." She hesitated and nodded, and once again, we held hands and walked into the room like a strong band of knights.

We entered darkness. It was all dark. I couldn't see anything at all, not even my own two feet, and even my vibrant and bright hair couldn't substitute as a light. I had a mini panic attack, until I felt the soft hands of Aurora's clasped in my own.

I felt calm instantly, and stopped freakish out. That's when an eerie green light popped up in front of me, and I stared at it. It seemed to be dancing, and I was transfixed by the glow.

I could feel a pulling on my had, and I knew that Aladdin or Aurora or maybe both were waking towards the light. I followed the green thing, hypnotized, and I wanted- no needed- to follow the light.

My eyes glued to the beautiful flash of hope, my beacon of green safety. I trudged along, walking slowly, following the light, keeping a close eye on it.

All of a sudden, Aurora stopped in her tracks, and stopped both me and Aladdin, and I turned to look at her. Her face reflected the green light the tiny floating thing gave off. I could see that her eyes were transfixed on the orb like mine, but it seemed like she didn't want to move.

Aladdin pulled on her hands, as did I, but she wouldn't move willingly. "Aurora, come!" I muttered, a little surprised by how sleepy my voice was. Must be really tired...

"Wait but," she stopped for a second-and she looked confused, but she eventually continued. "Never mind come on." And with that we all continued following the source of admiration, the green light.

I was filled with thoughts of warmth and happiness whenever I looked at the light, and I knew everything would be okay. It was like a voice whispering inside my head, telling me it would be alright.
