Chapter 7

My eyes fluttered open to the whistling of wind in my ears. We were far up in the sky, and once again I felt uncomfortable about being all the way up in the air. I gulped as we escalated a little more.

Aurora was fast asleep, her head resting a couple centimeters away from my knees. Aladdin controlled the carpet, and he looked ahead with steely eyes.

I eyed the food we had left from when we met Hades, and it looked like our stock was depleting. "Did you already eat?" I asked Aladdin tentatively. I didn't want to hog all the food if he didn't have any.

He nodded, and I took out a roll of bread and an apple, saving the rest for Aurora for when she woke up later. I ate the food in golden silence before speaking.

"Did you explain the scene to Aurora?" I asked him as I played with Auroras beautiful golden hair. "Yeah. She was really upset when I said she fainted." He snorted as he spoke, his hair disheveled yet still adorable.

"She thinks the missions hers, it's everyone's!" He exclaimed rolling his eyes. I state silent after he said that. Sure she was a control freak, but Aladdin was used to that.

"Why are you really mad?" I whispered softly making a braid in Aurora's hair, separating each golden strand as carefully as I could.

"Because Aurora thinks.... She thinks we like each other." He mumbled. "I don't like you! I'm Jasmines!" He pretty much shouted, causing Aurora to stir. When he said that, I felt the slightest pang of sadness. Why? That didn't make any sense!

I loved Eric and we were living a happily ever after, I couldn't want anything more. I twisted Aurora's hair a little more, thinking of an answer to calm him down. "She's just missing Phillip and probably wants a guy to talk to." I chirped, hoping it would lighten him up.

"I'm a guy. And so what if we talk?" He gripped the carpet tighter, causing us to swoop up, making my stomach all queasy. "Whoa! Easy now Al...." I practically shouted, clutching my stomach.

He smirked mischievously and made the magic carpet dip down so quickly, my vision blurred and I was lifted up in the air a little, my grip only on Aurora's hair, causing her to wake up with a shriek.

"Ariel! Let go!" She said yanking her hair out of my hands and unbraiding it. I blushed before mumbling an apology, and Aladdin stifled a giggle. I gave him the evil eye, which only made him giggle more. I smiled soon, and then I realized Aurora was watching us very carefully, her eyes narrowed.

I stiffened and handed her her share of food, but thankfully Aladdin seemed oblivious to her, whistling cheerfully and steering the carpet. Aurora cleared her throat before talking.

"Ariel, dearest, maybe it's time you take the carpet for a spin. Aladdin must be very sleepy. Right Al?" Aladdin simply nodded, and went in for a landing.

We slowly descended through the clouds and onto the soft green grass of Earth. I inhaled the rich smell of dirt and observed my surroundings. We were in the middle of a vast forest with many pine trees and oaks.

Little land animals scampered at our feet, squeaking and rushing towards Aurora. He immediately lightened up, a bright smile on her face as she let a bird on her finger. Aladdin stretched as a squirrel studied his toga curiously.

The squirrel examine the fabric, and then after a while ripped a section off and scampered away. Aladdin had an annoyed expression on his face, but didn't say anything probably out of exhaustion.

I jumped on the carpet, exhaling shakily as Aurora and Aladdin finally polig in, Aurora kissing the animals goodbye. I clutched the side tassels tightly before rising up into the air.

"Where are we?" I asked Aladdin specifically, but Aurora answered. "Why we are in my kingdom."
