Chapter Thirty Three
"Aladdin. Look at me." Jasmine was understandably confused at first, but now she held a ferocity that held even the villains in their place. Aladdin looked into her eyes, shaking. Which was completely understandable, I mean, Jasmine was someone you do not toy with. "What happened?" Her voice was thinning dangerously and I mentally prepared myself for what he was going to say next. Before he had the chance to tell Jasmine the truth, however, Maleficent cackled from her throne. Jeez how many times did this crazy lady cackle in a day? Was that some weird thing that came with being evil, constantly having to cackle?
"I think he would rather gaze upon Ariel!" WHOOMP. There it was. She was clearly enjoying this, her clawed hands resting on her knees as she leaned forward.
Jasmine's fierce gaze turned to me and even the villains held their breaths, waiting for her reaction to this awful turn of events. "Is it true? Does he like you?" I opened my mouth, but suddenly lost my ability to speak. What was there to say in this situation? 'Oh yeah, haha, I totally am, like in love with your hubs! That's why we're all doomed! Also, by the way, we totally made out!' Yeah no.
"It's true." Aladdin spoke for me and I looked at him in shock. It was all evident between the lines sure, but to hear him say it out loud was both relieving and horrifying at the same time.
"No. You're lying." Jasmine shook her head and gazed at the floor in complete disbelief. "You wouldn't do this to me!" Her voice broke slightly and tears shone in her eyes. Oh jeez.
"I'm sorry," Aladdin was panicking, his voice catching as Jasmine came closer to crying. "But I can't help it. I love everything about you," he turned to look at me now, and everything in the room disappeared as he spoke. "I love how you make me laugh in even the darkest times. I love how you wear your emotions on your sleeve, and I love how you care about your friends, and I love... Too many things to list." I gasped slightly at his confession and so did Jasmine.
"You are undeserving of my love." Jasmine grit her teeth and cleared her tears before I could say anything else, slapping Aladdin across the face. Well he had that coming. (And so did I, but thankfully my cheeks were safe!) The villains in the room gasped, and Jafar whistled as Jasmine stomped away, refusing to make eye contact with anyone as she returned to her cell. Well she seemed a bit upset.
"Aladdin I-" I began to say before Jafar and Ursula regained their senses and advanced, ready to attack. Could I not be interrupted for two seconds? That would be appreciated. Ursula stuck out a tentacle and snatched up our shiny rock weapon, holding it in her slimy clutches.
"Would love to tell you how I feel, but first let's take these suckers down." He nodded in understanding and we charged at the villains, a mix of courage and stupidity coursing through our veins. Maleficent continued to sit in her stupid throne, yawning even, as we continued to fight.
We took on our respective nemeses and slashed without thinking. The amazing and powerful rock (which had yet to show off its amazing and powerful powers, go figure) was hidden in one of Ursula's tentacles and I slashed randomly with my dagger, black blood oozing wherever I cut.
"You can't cut me down!" She screamed, although I could feel her getting weaker. One of her appendages knocked me aside and I hit the wall with a thud. Black spots dotted my vision but I stood right back up, charging with even more ferocity. Aladdin was doing some fancy acrobatic stuff and flipping all around Jafar, the snake chasing him around the the room.
