Chapter 11

It hadn't been a long journey before the sky darkened, and the air smelled of smoke. Aurora had paled but simply stood up straighter and announced the obvious. "We are in her territory now."

Aladdin clenched the carpet, obviously wary of flying towards Jafar. I patted his arm comfortingly. "Don't worry, we will find Jasmine and she will be yours again!"

He gave me a weak smile, his black hair blowing in the wind. I frowned slightly at the thought of Eric. Why must Aladdin's hair be so much like his?

It made my heart break every time I was reminded of my lost love. It had been two days since the last mirror call, but neither Aurora nor I were very eager to contact our princes.

Ever since she had found the hat, she had been silent, only speaking when absolutely necessary. Her brows were furrowed nearly all the time and she would definitely get wrinkles after our little adventure.

Everything was going as smoothly as thugs can go in an evil queens land, when Aladdin suddenly swerved the carpet to the right nearly dropping both me and Aurora.

"Watch it buddy!" I shrieked, grabbing fistfuls of the carpet. My fear of heights settled in again, and I shut my eyes tightly.

After counting to ten very slowly, I managed to open my eyes, measuring my breaths very evenly. Zeus got nothing on me! At least I think...

I was deep into my thoughts when I was hit in the face with a puffy green cloud like shape. It dissolved as soon as it touched my face, leaving a somewhat acidic smell if that makes sense. "And that's what I was trying to avoid." He mumbled.

I looked around and realized that gunk was all over the place, giving the sky an eerie feel. It was like being lost in a green fog maze. How horrible it was, the worst feeling ever!

Evil was all around us, and Malificent had definitely made her mark. Maybe she had gotten decorating tips from Ursula, and I shuddered imagining them all talking about silly things like decorations.

Why I shuddered, I don't know. It's hard to imagine someone like Ursula be so real, she would always be an evil witch to me, as would the other two villains of the Big Three.

Aladdin swerved hard to the left again, and I suddenly wrapped my arms around his waist, so frightened.

Apparently Aladdin was to shocked to do anything because all he seemed to do was withstand the motion, but he felt a little warmer. Had I made him blush?

The thought of him blushing made me blush, and I quickly unwrapped my arms from around his waist, mumbling a slight apology.

I mentally slapped myself, how in the world could I have so awkward? Yes the ride was being a little turbulent, but that's what the little tassels are for.

He cleared his throat slightly and my blush deepened down to my neck, the red matching my hair, I bet. How lovely...

Aurora glared at me, letting loose her complete set of emotion on me. She mentally yelled at me, and if looks could kill, I'd be six feet under!

Her blonde hair was straight and a little dirty from nearly a week of no washing. I had begun to feel quite filthy now myself, and what I would have done for a bath, oh!

I would have kissed a frog like Tiana to get the chance to run off all the grime and dirt. It sounded lovely, me taking a pleasant bubble bath.

That would definitely be my first thing to do when this was all over! Actually, demanding answers in person from Eric would be my first.

I would fire Mara, storm up to him and press him for all the details. Not princess at all, but kissing another girl wasn't exactly very prince like.

I would give that man a piece of my mind for stealing my heart and then ripping iron two! I needed him, especially now, but he was too selfish to realize I loved him more than Mara.

Loved, as in past tense. If only he had realized that before all this mess had happened. Would have saved me such a big heartache. Would have saved a lot of mental energy too...

I groaned, no other Disney character in the world had a life as messed up as mine! Unless, of course you count poor little Alice. She went through crazy times!

I turned around to see Aurora squeezing the red hat like she was squeezing the water out of a damp towel. I could nearly see water gushing out of the hat, the way she was wringing it, I'm sure something would pour out.

She had been doing this for a while now, and I think the hat made her feel closer to Phillip and farther away from Malificent.

It was probably the sweetest thing I had ever seen, watching Aurora gaze off into the distance, no doubt thinking about him, and where he was. I was curious about that as well. It was a mystery!

Aladdin swooped down, and I let out a little squeak as I rose slightly above my seat. My dress had lifted up a little as well, and I only hoped no one noticed. I blushed once again, red pooling in my cheeks.

My mind drifted into random thoughts when I remembered the ocean again. The ocean! My daddy and sisters! Oh no.... "Aurora may I use the mirror?" I asked, a little panicky.

She studied my face for a moment before slipping me the elegant mirror. It was cool and smooth to the touch, and I saw my reflection. My red hair looked somewhat tamed, and my face only had a couple dirt smudges.

I rubbed away the spots on my face before calling my daddy. "Show me King Triton." The mirror blurred a bit, and soon I could see the royal palace that used to be my house. I missed the dear place...

My father soon came into view, and when he saw me, he jerked back in surprise, bubbles exploding near his tail.

His trident glowed an angry yellow, but then calmed down when he focused and saw it was me. "Ariel?" He stuttered, confused. "Yes daddy." I whispered.

"Ariel!" He bellowed. He started to swim closer to the image, studying my face. "What's wrong?" He inquired. "You mean you don't know?" I said cautiously. How couldn't he?

"Well sweetie, everything's fine. But not for you!" He furrowed his white brows, obviously oblivious to anything. How could he not know Ursula was on the loose?

"Um good..." I choked out, I would never ever worry my father for anything in the world. Not purposely at least. The big three would have to be explained later, as would Eric.

He smiled not wary at all. "Girls look who's here!" He called out to my sisters. They all came rushing in, one by one.

"Ariel!" They all squealed, shouting things at the same time. Adela explained the new merman she had met, while Andrina was complaining about how she would be forever alone, and Aquata was also talking about this all new seaweed bar.

"Guys!" Attina scolded, and everyone shut up at the same time. "Are you okay?" She wondered with a worried expression. "Fine Attina." I whispered a little hoarsely, smiling.

My other sisters chattered on, so happy I was in front of them. Attina was the only silent one, and she was eying me very carefully. "All right girls, enough!" My father bellowed, and my sisters waved goodbye until only Attina and my daddy were left.

"Call me." Attina ordered, and then she swam off. I sighed, only Attina would see something was wrong with me. "Dear the image is getting blurry," my father observed, his voice getting quieter and quieter.

"I love you daddy!" I yelled "I live you too!" Was all I heard before the mirror showed nothing but my reflection. I studied the glass carefully, taking in the faint lines that had formed in between my nose.

Had I been frowning that much? I looked toAurora and saw that her expression was completely blank, and she wouldn't be getting wrinkles anytime soon.

But I on the other hand was starting to shrivel up like a prune! My insecurities were dug even farther I could see why Eric fell in love with Mara...

My red bangs barely skimmed my brows, which was how I liked it, so that was a good sign. I felt older, and more mature, even though it had only been a week, it felt like a year!

"Here." Aurora spoke, pointing south. "We are here..." Aladdin breathed, and as I took in my surroundings, the breath was knocked out of me.

On the side is a picture of Ariels crazy yet lovely sisters! They are all so amazing but Attina has always been my favorite.
