Chapter 4

After Aurora had said Underworld, the air felt chillier, like some ghost had decided to settle down when he heard the U- word. Aurora grimaced as Aladdin and I sat there shocked.

"What does the underworld have to do with anything?" I asked. I immediately regretted saying that word, because the air became ten degrees chillier again.

Aurora states at me with a perplexed expression, like I was stupid. "We need to have a chat with Hades." She stayed simply before turning away from us.

"But why Hades?" Aladdin and I asked at the se time. I swear Aurora muttered 'I thought us blondes were supposed to be dumb..' Before answering. With her back turned, Aurora began to explain her reasoning.

"Hades kept all the villain in his out, you know that right?" Me and Aladdin nodded in unison. "Well Hades knows most about the-ahem- Big Three." It was all making sense now, we had to figure out thee weaknesses to bring them down!

If only Eric was here, he'd be such a great help! "Will Hades even help?" Aladdin asked, his expression focused. Auroras silence said it all. "Oh." Aladdin squeaked out. So there was a chance Hades wouldn't agree.

The rest of the ride it was silent, the only sound was the breeze whistling in my ears. All three of us sat together grimly, silent and thoughtful of the recent events.

I scooted up next to Aurora, leaving only inches of space on the side. "Yes Ariel?" She asked realizing I was there to talk. I fiddled with my thumbs, getting nervous to ask my rather selfish question. "Aurora... Could we um... Maybe go to my palace to see if Eric is okay?" At this, Aurora sat quietly for a while and I blushed.

"Here." Aurora said, handing me a mirror she had in her little white dress that was under her top one. My eyes widened as I saw the detail. I had seen this before. "Belle's mirror! How did you get it?" I gaped at Aurora. Had she stolen?

"Belle gave it to me on my 18th birthday. She shrugged. "It's not the original, but it works just the same." I stroked the mirrors shiny and smooth surface, staring at my reflection. I had a deep scratch under my lip, that would definitely leave a scar. My hair was messed up and tangled, and there was some dirt on my face.

"You know what to do." Aurora said patting my shoulder. "Show me Eric." and in no time, Eric popped up. Next to Mara. "Eric?" I said. They were at the beach, walking. They weren't holding hands, but I still felt a pang of jealousy.

Eric looked startled. "Ariel?" Is that you?" He ran closer to my image, his face growing larger in my mirror. "Yes... Yes." I breathed out. I stroked the image, I wanted to be with him so bad. "Ariel what's wrong? What's happened?" He must have taken in my hair and face because he looked shocked and worried.

"Eric, the Bug Three. They're out. Please stay safe I love you so much!" I cried again, the tears slipping down my cheeks. "What?!?!" Eric gasped, and he took out his sword which was on his belt.

"Ariel where are you?" He demanded. "Oh my sweet sweet Eric..." I sobbed. Soon the connection was getting more and more crackly. I wouldn't be seeing his beautiful face, or hearing his lovely voice in a while. I tried my best to compose myself.

"I love you. Stay safe." Eric started to say something, but then the whole thing went black. I concentrated on Eric again, trying to reach him through the mirror, but alas the mirror only gave off some smoke and sputtered.

"Try again in one week." Explained Aurora. I sighed, fingering the mirror. If I couldn't see my darling in person all the time, the mirror every week would have to do. Suddenly, I felt the wind push up a little, and a city grew larger and larger as we descended.

It was Greece, the most ancient and beautiful city of all time. There were white buildings everywhere, and people in togas were walking around doing there own thing.

Aurora 'parked' behind a tree and we started walking in the market. The air smelled of excitement and spice, and people in the market were trying to sell their stuff. "Come buy the bread we have!" A woman that was slightly plump in a tan toga beckoned.

I politely declined, before following Aurora once again. Many people stared at us, we were after all in tatters. I saw all the children running around and playing. How lucky they were to not know what great danger was going on.

Then, a thought occluded to me. "If the Big Three were released from here, why didn't they attack here first?" I asked Aurora, who was looking for a place to buy togas to wear.

"Hades is much too powerful for them to succeed here." She said eying a couple pink and blue fabrics. Aladdin grabbed a loaf of bread while the plump lady was distracted, and I was about to scold him, but he looked so hungry, and I couldn't be that cruel. Besides what was one loaf?

Aurora fingered three gold coins she held in her hand. "What color?" She asked me and Aladdin. "Why, the original," Aladdin smiled slyly. "White like an angel." And he batted his eyelashes. I couldn't help but giggle as he made Aurora smile. "And you?" Aurora said, turning to me.

"I think I'll try blue." Aurora smiled and picked up a white men's toga, a pink woman's toga and a blue wand toga. She paid for our items and we changed in one of the little rooms they reserved for fitting. Very convenient. I should make my kingdom stores like that.

When we were all ready, we exited the store, into the massive crowd of people. "So where will we go?" Aladdin asked as he looked around, munching on his bread. Aurora smiled at both of us warmly, "To Meg's favorite place. The garden." And so we moved along in the massive sea of people that passed by.
