GenesisxReader: A Damsel in Distress. or not

We start off in a newly built theater in Banora, where the main actress for Loveless, Y/n is preparing for her best performance yet.....

"Great job Y/n. That was amazing as always! But tonight, you will give it all you've got. There are gonna be journal editors and the journalist for Banora Celebrities Monthly in the audience watching you." Your acting coach and the theater director Lynn said to you after you finished your last line. You were once a small town girl, living in a lonely world until you decided to move away and pursue your lifelong dream of becoming an actress. Luck was on your side, because you aced the audition for the play Loveless, and you're now about to be on the cover of a magazine, or even show your face in the news!! Bad part is, that you had no one to share this exciting time with. Your parents were quite displeased to find out that their only child had become famous after a single week, and you had no friends either.(harsh I know, I'm so sorry😂)

"Thank you Lynn. Umm, do you mind if I grab a bite to eat and maybe relax a little before the big show tonight?" Lynn was very strict about you going off and doing your own thing, mainly because of the paparazzi, but she truly cared about you.

"Why not? But be back an hour before the show, so we can get you into make up and your costume." After hugging her and thanking her to the point where she rolled her eyes and smiled, you put on a simple pair of jeans, a graphic tee with a Chocobo on it, and your ankle high boots and topping it off with your hair being put up in a ponytail and ran out the door, finally breathing in the fresh air you oh so longed for all day. Once you reached your favorite dumbapple tree, you let out a sigh of relaxation, taking it all in while munching on your packed lunch(It'll be whatever you choose lol).

Meanwhile in a city not too far from Banora***

Sephiroth, Angeal, and Genesis sat in the training room, bored out of their minds. There were no missions to go on, and they just finished battling test robots and were now sitting around. Except for Genesis, for he had his nose in his book as always. Sephiroth was eyeing the t.v screen, observing all the on goings on around the world. Today's topic was about a girl playing the starring role in the play Loveless and for now, only Sephiroth and Angeal paid attention. That is, until the news reporter went live with the director of the play.

"So Miss, tell us how excited we should be for this final performance!"

"Well let me tell ya! Our actress Y/n is super talented, and she looks forward to tonight's show!" Genesis looked up at the screen and groaned. There was no way anybody was more talented than he. Angeal took notice of this and chuckled to himself.

"Hey Genesis, what's the matter? Afraid of a simple girl being more talented than you?"Genesis rolled his blue orbs at his friend.

"Of course not. But I say we go to this play and see how bad she fucks up. What do you say, Sephiroth?"

"I guess we can go. But promise me you won't try to correct her in front of everyone." Sephiroth agreed, and soon, they left on the journey to Banora. The whole time, Genesis was grumbling to himself about the girl the whole time.

"There is just no way that girl is better than me! Nobody is allowed to be better than me!" He sat in the helicopter, pouting away.

"Genesis, why don't you give her a chance? After all, she is the leading actress for a reason." Sephiroth spoke up. He was right, but there was only one way to find out if the girl really is talented.

"Ahhh!!! Fresh ground, and the smell of fruit in the air!" Angeal inhaled deeply as they trio finally arrived in Banora. There were posters advertising the play, and people were grabbing little pamphlets from a woman dressed like a theater teacher.

"Look, it says that the play isn't for another hour. Let's go relax until it's time." Sephiroth took a pamphlet and invited Angeal and Genesis to join him under a tree. At first, everything was so peaceful. That was, until they heard a scream coming from the next tree over. They looked over to find a young girl struggling to fight a monster that had smelled whatever she had for lunch. The monster was a little bigger than her, and just looked ferocious. Just as Genesis was compelled to come to her rescue, the girl pulls out a small pocket knife from her bag, and in the blink of an eye, it extended into an actual sword! Genesis secretly admired the way she flipped and gracefully jumped on top of the creature, placing her sword into the back of its head. Once the monster turned to dust, Genesis walked over to her and scoffed.

"That was some fight. However, I could have easily jumped in and saved you." The girl just laughed.

"That's okay. I didn't need to rely on a man to do the dirty work." Her comment caused him to blush. Thankfully, the color on his face came back when Sephiroth and Angeal soon joined him.

"I am impressed by the way you easily handled that. May I know how you learned to fight so well?" Sephiroth asked her. Smooth fucker....

"Let's just say I had some extra free time after work. Anyways, I should probably start heading back before my boss kills me. Oh! I'm Y/n by the way, and you men are?" You finally introduced yourself.

"My name is Sephiroth, and these two are my friends Angeal and Genesis."

"Oh! Well, it's nice to meet you all! And hey, I have three extra tickets to the play if you would like to attend. Here." You reached into your pocket and handed each of them a small red ticket.

"Thanks! We'll be there!" Angeal nodded.

"Great! See you there!" You ran off in the opposite direction, looking back at Genesis with interest. An hour later, the three men waited in line to get in, and when it was their turn, the man letting people in took a look at the tickets.

"You three are lucky. You each have front row seats in amazing view of the play! You guys enjoy!" Genesis was surprised. He didn't expect to have a front row seat. Once they were seated, Genesis shook his head, complaining once again.

"I'm telling you, she's going to mess up big time, and the moment she does, she's going to be humiliated when I correct her every mistake."

"Hey asshole up front! Shut up!" A man from the back yelled. Before Genesis could confront the man, the lights dimmed, and the stage lit up for you to steal the spotlight.

"When the war of the beasts bring about the world's end
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting." The narrator began, starting act I. When you spoke with emotion and passion, that's the moment when Genesis fell in love with you. He realized he was wrong about you and he admired your great talent. He lip synced your lines with you, and he knew you were someone to not be taken lightly. When the play ended, you and the other actors came out and bowed, and you couldn't help but to give Genesis a loving smile.

"Hey thanks for coming! Hey, thanks for coming! Glad you enjoyed it!" You greeted your audience out the door, and once they were gone, you sat on the edge of the stage, sighing. You had the interview with every journalist that showed up, got a couple pictures in, so now what? Plus, your contract with Lynn had ended, and you had nowhere to go. You heard the doors open and close, but you paid no mind to whoever had walked in.

"Hey." You perked up and saw the red headed man standing before you, holding a bouquet of flowers. You smiled a little, taking them into your arms.

"Hey. What're doing here? Thought you three would be gone by now." Genesis grabbed your free hand and pulled you close to him.

"Y/n, when you came out in that stunning costume, I knew I loved you. But the moment you started acting, I fell for you even harder. Will you be mine?" Knowing this, you dropped the flowers(R. I. P) and jumped into his arms.

"Oh Genesis! Yes!" After you two shared a long tender kiss and explaining the situation, Sephiroth invited you to go with them, and you happily accepted, not having a care in the world if people were eyeing your new lover carrying you in his strong arms like a bride.
