Reno x Reader: You Were so Scared!

Ugh, I cannot stop staring at the cover photo😫😫😫😫😫 anyways, this was requested by Lyria_WR, so as always, enjoy!!!

It was a couple days before Halloween, and you and all of your friends were hanging out at the bar, decorating the bar for the big Halloween party Tifa hosted every year. She would close the bar for the day, and spend the entire day prepping drinks, food, games, and music. And just like every year, you helped her put banners and plastic pumpkins on each of the tables. You were up on the stool, hanging a poster Marlene had made. You got on your tippy toes, hanging it as high as possible.

"How does that look Tifa?!" You called behind you. Tifa was setting up themed coasters for the counter. She looked up at the alignment and smiled.

"That looks amazing Y/n! Hey, I have to go to the back for a sec! Watch the bar for a sec?!" You told her you would and once she left, you started on the ceiling paper lanterns. You were so busy humming a tune, you didn't hear Reno creep in, watching the way you swayed your body. Reno was a jerk. He loved to pull all kinds of pranks, and make every attempt to scare you. And boy, did you hate it. You would slap him upside his cute little head and wrestle him to the floor. Secretly, he loved messing with you just for the sake of seeing your reaction. In fact, he was in love with you. You weren't like the other girls. You were strong, independent, and usually aware of your surroundings. Reno walked up to the stool, and snatched it right from under you, causing you to fall to the fall on your rear.

"RENO!!! YOU ASSHOLE!!!" You stood up, fists clenched. Reno laughed so hard, he held his stomach.

"Oh man!! You should've seen your face yo!! You were like "ahhh"! Hahaha I cannot believe you literally fell for that!!! He stopped laughing when you grabbed your sword that leaned against the wall.

"Uhh...." Reno looked down at his wrist, as if checking the time. "Oh would you look at the time? I gotta go!" He was brave, the only person that scared him was you.

"Come back here you jerk!!" You chased Reno out of the bar, running after him, but suddenly being stopped by Cloud. He held you by the waist, gripping you tightly.

"Let me go Cloud!! That man is dead!!!" You screamed when Reno blew raspberries at you before disappearing into an alleyway.

"Easy now, Y/n. You can get payback later. He isn't worth it anyways." You screamed in frustration and stormed back to the bar, where you told Tifa and Aerith everything.

"That's so not cool. You could've gotten hurt." Tifa shook her head.

"Yeah, that was really rude of him. How did you not see him walk in though?" You groaned at Cloud.

"No, Strife! I was too busy putting up the decorations! God, I wish there was a way I could get pay back!" You slumped in your seat, your chin on the palm of your hand.

"Why don't you try to scare him back?" Aerith suggested. You sighed.

"Yeah that won't work. He'll know it's me." There was no way you could pull it off. Reno always knew who was trying to sneak up on him, but there was one person who he least expected.

"You got a point there Y/n.... Oh! I know!" Aerith thought about it for a moment, then whispered the plan to you.

Halloween night

You finished putting the last of your costume and looked in the mirror one last time. Tonight was the night Reno was finally going to get a taste of his own medicine. You got to the bar, and all of your friends were there. Vincent, Cloud, Tifa, Barrett, Marlene, Cid, Nanaki, Yuffie, Aerith, and Cait Sith were conversing.

"Tifa!" You ran up to the bar, and admired the bartender's costume: a bunny.

"Hey Y/n! Something strong to help prank Reno?" Everyone knew about the plan, and were more than willing to get in on it. Aerith walked up while you were drinking and smiled.

"He's here! I'm going to hide upstairs until it's time! Will you distract him?!" You nodded to her, and at the same time, Reno came strutting in, still wearing his uniform. When he saw you and your cat costume, he blushed at the way you stared at him. He was going to be fun.

"Hey Reno! You wanna dance?!" You yelled over the loud music, grabbing his arm.

"You make one hell of a sexy kitty cat. Purr for me little kitten." He pulled you closer to him, kissing your neck.

"Reno! Let's just dance for now!" You pulled him in the middle of the room, and swayed to the beat. You've got him right where you want him. His full attention was on you, and the fact that his eyes stayed glued to you gave Aerith the opportunity to quietly sneak back down to the party. By now, you and Reno were sharing the flask of whiskey he kept in his pocket, flirting mad hard. You were drunk, and forgot all about the prank.

"BOO!!!" Aerith snuck up behind Reno, and a scream filled the room. But it wasn't Reno's. It was yours. You let a tear run down your face as you ran out crying. Reno chased after you, now more concerned.

"Y/n, wait! What's going on?!" You sobbed.

"I tried to prank you, but instead it was me who got pranked again!!! Why can't you just fall for my pranks, like I do with yours?!" You pouted, looking down at how moonlit dirt.

"Y/n, I'm so sorry. I had no idea. I won't prank you anymore, I promise. I thought you liked it." He wrapped his arms around you.

"I did, but over time, it got old! You promise you're gonna stop?" You looked up into his playful eyes.

"Anything for you, my little kitten." He flicked the cat ears on your head.

I know that wasn't much, but I figured with Spoopy holiday coming up, I thought it'd be nice. Anyways, I hoped you enjoyed that, and stay tuned for a jealous Reno x Reader!!!!
